Jul. 24th, 2003 02:14 pmI am now braceless!! Yay! I have to go and get my retainer in about two hours. It feels a little strange, but good. . . I really hated the way the braces felt. :D :D :D
Now I just have to make sure I wear my retainer regularly. I do not want to have braces again. That first week was just murder.
Last knight we finished Gabriel Knight 3: Blood of the Sacred, Blood of the Damned. Very strange and trippy ending. Well, not trippy so much as. . . it was kind of like something written by Neil Gaiman, except not quite as good. lol. Actually, I must admit, i'm harsh on Gabe 3 because it's so ugly! O_O And the other two were so pretty. But Gabe 3 was a fascinating, fun, and even educational game. Because we did all sorts of research, it was cool. And it had some great puzzles. :D
Anyway. Oh, hey. Someone on a soap opera just made a The Thin Man joke! Whoa! lol. Anyway. . . as I started to say. . . the next games on our list are Grim Fandango, King's Quest 6, and then Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers again, because that one's my favorite. And Katie's, i believe. . . David likes Gabriel Knight 2: The Beast Within, which was also an excellent game. . . but I really want to play Gabe 1 again :D I don't know though--we'll need to work fast! We watched the Grim Fandango opening scene last night. it's made by Lucasarts, who also did the monkey island game--it's so much fun to be back to Lucasarts! :)
So after that, we got locked out of our house. DX ugh. It was my fault, i was stupid. We stayed at David's til 11 when our parents got home and picked us up. While we were waiting, we finished watching the Six Wives of Hentry VIII. It was excellent. My favorites are Jane Seymour, Anne of Cleves, and Katherine Parr. Yes, she spells her name with a K. I think. lol. Anyway, that's how Katie spells it. ^_^ Of course, I know that this sort of thing is biased, but that's my verdict based on the show. I admire Anne Boleyn and Catherine of Aragon, and feel bad for. . . well, for all of them, actually.
I'm going to clean the family room, and maybe eat. Then we must go back to get retainer.

Date: 2003-07-24 01:44 pm (UTC)Anyway, me and Katie are currently working on a European History comic strip :D So we'll address all the wives individually, I think. We're definitely doing one about the fact that there were so many of them!
I think it's funny that usually women are known, in history, for being married to someone, but Henry is known for his wives, rather than what he did. His wives and his daughter! :D ::smug smug smug::
