happiness meme, day whatever
Dec. 9th, 2008 10:00 pmWhat made me happy today:
VH1's #1 Song of the 80s: LIVING ON A PRAYER!! YEAH BON JOVI!!!
I am rocking out even as I type this. WHOOOO-OOOH!! We're halfway there!
To fill people in, three years ago, I guess, in my sophomore year at Smith, roommate!Corey and I decided to become Bon Jovi fans so we listened to this song a lot and ALSO listened to their new stuff - who says you can't go home, amirite, Jon? - and we followed the Heather Locklear-Richie Sambora breakup in the tabloids and were devastated because we thought those two kids were gonna make it. So Bon Jovi holds a very special place in my heart, and Living on a Prayer is my favorite of their many awesome songs. XD I have been known, when it is played, to wave my hands in the air like I just don't care. Also to sing along loudly. Even if it is in a movie trailer, and they cut it off for dramatic effect. (it was High School Musical 3, no one cared!)
I am, however, disappointed because they played "Don't Stop Believin'" during all the ads and I missed it. D: I did, however, get to see Hall & Oates. I had only the vaguest understanding of Hall & Oates. I knew about Oates' moustache but I did not know he was tiny and hilarious, and I did not know about Hall. XD
I need to shower. Will do it tomorrow morning.
Am super-busy these days! It's intense.
Oh, but I had my performance review today for my first three months of work and it was uniformly positive and I'm really really happy. :D
Now perhaps I will. . . hmm. I want to go to sleep by 11:30. I think I will watch some FotC and chillax with my internets.
