Today, I am enfolded in the warmth of family. :) My aunt and uncle, cousin and husband, and their two twin baby girls came over today. Well, I say "babies". . . they were born February of my first year at Smith. So that makes them. . . 3 and a half, I guess? They're talking for real now and congratulated me on my graduation when they arrived. :D Which, in toddler-talk, is "gradulations on your graduation." I know, I know, it's too squishy and sappy. By the way, even though they're twins, one of them is only up to the other's chin, pretty much. Such a big height difference! It's really cute. It's cos of all sorts of complications around the birth but I was thinking if they were on Japanese TV (as many white babies are) they would not be able to play twins.

Additionally, I just chatted with my parents for about 45 minutes. If I was the type of person to say "blessed" I would say I was. But I'm totally not, so I don't know why I just said that. I'm more the type to say I'm unbelievably, ridiculously lucky. Just in general. It's kind of amazing and I try to not take things for granted. That's not to say that my apartment search is a somewhat stressful pain in the ass, but nonetheless. I go to look at a place tomorrow. Ack, I need to make a check list!

I'm currently, uh, finally watching the last episode of Hanazakari no Kimitachi e Ikemen Paradise (I like when things have stupid long names. Much like Randy Jackson Presents America's Best Dance Crews Hosted by Mario Lopez.) and wow, in the drag fashion show the guys finally looked really, really hot dressed as women. I could have gone for some lingering shots. Normally I only like the idea of guys in drag and not the reality, especially as executed on that show. (Although Toma looked super-cute in a nurse costume and glasses!) I never actually watched episodes 6 through 11 but it turns out it isn't really necessary to do so.

Ah, crapsicles. Just looked to my left for the first time in a while and I remembered that my bed is full of clothes and crap from cleaning up for company.

Has anything else interesting happened in the last few days? Nope, just the apartment stress, and some visiting Katie. Oh, and the buying of nice work clothes! Now that I'm a full-time real person working woman, I needed to expand my wardrobe. . . to include more pants. I wear a lot of skirts to work in summer cos it's hot. I also got loads of forms to fill out for work today. And, uhm. . . I've been sharing [livejournal.com profile] ayamachi's interest in Big Cook Ben of Big Cook Little Cook. And when I say sharing, I mean "mocking." But I'll make it up to you and make the pimp post I've been talking about soon! Probably! :D I've got a bunch of pictures collected to use for it, which makes me seem like an even bigger creeper than I am yay!
