i can mashed potato! I can do the twist!
Apr. 13th, 2008 01:08 pmMy youtube accounts were suspended. Both of them. Ugh. guingel was supposed to be safe! I'm really sort of sad about it - I lost a lot of stuff. First off, the TOKIO playlists, which I no longer have the energy to recreate. Plus, nothing stays on for long enough. :( Second off, well over 100 favorites, that actually, like, tracked my youtube history and my different interests at different times. ::sigh::
But in happier news. I went to a "Dive-in" viewing of a Little Mermaid yesterday night. Meaning we all went and played in the pool and floated on rafts and watched the movie, which was projected onto the wall. :D It was SO MUCH FUN! I hadn't been swimming in years and I love it, so I was really happy. And floating on a raft in the middle of a pool with one of my best friends, watching a Disney movie, is just such a fun way to spend your time. Said friend also held my glasses for me while I went for a quick dip. It did get quite cold after a bit, though. The room was warm but the water was pretty chilly. So we left after "Kiss the Girl." Awww, it was fun. Several dozen Smithies floating around in a pool together. XD So cute.
Also, as I put it this morning, I've discovered that John Barrowman is like an arrow aimed at the heart of my dorkiness. I keep watching these corny horrible shows he's in, thinking "I'll just watch John and then move on" and then getting totally sucked in. Like with "Any Dream Will Do," where I started watching loads and loads of the boys' performances. And then last night I watched him on "Dancing On Ice" and it was like "HOLY SHIT I LOVE FIGURE SKATING." I'd kind of forgotten. Oh man, pairs skating. I love it sooooo much. (Sadly, all the performances that I'd favorited on youtube are. . . lost. ::sigh::)
( what, you don't want to hear me talk about figure skating some more? )
I also discovered that the author of Doctor Who episodes "The Empty Child" and "The Doctor Dances" is Steven Moffat, who wrote Coupling! I love Coupling! And I loved those episodes SO MUCH even though I watched them alone at night and they scared the pee out of me, oh my god. I still miss David Tennant in these Season 1 episodes but I'm also starting to really adore Christopher Eccleston. Much less hot, but totally adorable and loveable and awesome. I might possibly be switching back and forth between season 1 and season 2 episodes and season 1 of Torchwood. I'll admit to some slight chronological confusion.
I have to write a paper doing a cultural critique of a pop cultural form - I'm doing a Ramones song. But, ugh, I don't feel like being deep and fruity and culturaly.
