Thanksgiving and, uh, more Leader
Nov. 22nd, 2007 11:48 pmThere is a lot I'm thankful for. :) I'm really, really thankful for my family, who I know will support me and take care of me and love me no matter what. I'm incredibly thankful that I got all my stupid assignments finished. I'm excited that Katie is sharing my JE love and we have stuff that we get to watch together for the first time now. Like Yoiko no Mikata epiosde 8! :D Actually, I'm just thankful for Katie in general, that there's someone that I'm so close with and so in tune with and so comfortable with that I can just be myself with her. And I'm thankful for my Smith friends, Steph in particular has been so fab since I got back from JYA. :) I'm thankful that I got to go JYA! OK, I'm thankful for way too many things. Well, not too many. Too many to list. Also, I'm thankful that I've been having such a good time reviving my internet social life after 3+ years.
But mostly, I'm thankful that Leader almost always wears sleeves.
( find out why - it has nothing to do with flabby arms, sadly )
Thanksgiving dinner was ridiculously tasty. Stuffing and turkey and mashed potatoes and gravy and broccoli and string beans and sweet potatoes with brown sugar and sweet potatoes with walnuts and marshmallows and this onion thingie, and a vegetable thingie and then apple pie and pumpkin pie with whipped cream.
And we played Trivial Pursuit and I got one answer that none of my team knew and they were like "Laura, what do you think?" and I totally got it.
Also! I was looking through my (maternal) grandmother's high school yearbook - she graduated in 1939! Actually, she's my youngest grandparent, born in 1922. My oldest grandparent was my dad's dad, born in 1908. Anyway, it was AMAZING. They wrote a little "what they're like" comment about all the senior and they were way too entertaining. Like, one of them said that he got involved in "intrigues with the fairer sex" and then some of them were all "they were, uh, really quiet" and. . . I don't know. They were all hilarious. HILARIOUS.
Anyway, Monty Python just finished and I think we're going to watch tiny SMAP now.
