So, my co-workers gave me totally gratuitous presents today. It's incredibly awesome and I'm so happy! I'm a work study student at the alumnae records office, and there was a student worker appreciation event last week. But I didn't go because I left work early a few times, and I couldn't conscionably say I didn't have enough time to go to work for all the hours I committed to but then have enough time to go to an event celebrating me. Also, I'm not into that sort of thing. But yeah, so, they got me presents instead! A glass jar with all jawbreakers in it, because I'm always eating jawbreakers at work, and a picture frame that says nice stuff about me inside and a card where everyone in our little unit wrote what a good job I've been doing and stuff! So nice! And, like, to do this right before Thanksgiving is so random and it was just completely unexpected and made me so happy! And that they wanted to do this for me I guess shows that I must be doing a good job and meeting expectations and stuff, and that makes me really happy as well. :) I was actually thinking of leaving early today. XD Because I totally finished my entire task, and I was really sleepy and still have work to do, but getting presents super-energized me!!

I'm so happy. They're all really nice, and except for the fact that I can't get homework done there, it's a really good job for me. Lots of low-stress clerical stuff. The thing they pushed the most when I was getting trained and even during the interview was that I shouldn't be afraid to ask questions. So, yeah, it's really nice.

( I always try to put complaining behind a cut. XD I don't know if I'm fooling anyone into thinking I'm more stoic than I really am, but I hope so! )

In brighter news, although not if you haven't read behind the cut where I talk about my workload, I just left an excellent pie party. Hahahaha, as if there could be a bad pie party. But yeah. Nice company, delicious pie!! Apple and pumpkin. So tasty!

So, you guys almost got to see a video of me talking from a year ago, cos I made a video email for Katie when she was in France and I remembered it and was like "do I want to show people what I'm like when I talk?" but. . . I'm basically totally ordinary so I decided it wouldn't be interesting. XD I did tell a good story about getting caught in a web of lies, in which I asked my mom to bring home a DVD from the library but couldn't wait, so I snuck into my brother's room and stole it, and in the meantime my mom asked my brother to look for it in his room, but it was already downstairs in the family room, so I hid it in a stack of DVDs and when my mom got home and saw it, I was all "Oh! I guess Mike must have found it!" ELABORATE WEB OF LIES! But hey, I'm all about solving problems sitcom-style. If there is anything I'm about, it's that.

edit: I have to say. . . I really don't like Ohkura now. I dislike almost no one. Of all the groups I like - TOKIO, V6, Arashi, News, T&T, and Kanjani8, the only people I actively dislike are Tegoshi, and now Ohkura - possibly to an even greater extent. At first he was just a non-entity, then I found his ability to go from ugly to pretty hilarious, then I found his sudden popularity even more hilarious, and now he's just suddenly totally pissing me off. And. . . hats do not equal a personality, Ohkura!! Also, I said this elsewhere, but I might have to leave the Kanjani8 fandom for a while if his SCP gets subbed before Hina's.
