Ahh, thank god, I've got a job. I'm so relieved. Haha, I just got an email from another job that I applied for saying I didn't get it, so I'm really glad I already heard about this one. Ahh, whew. I interviewed this morning and they were all "We'll let you know later this week" and I was all "AGH are there other applicants and stuff??" But then this afternoon I got a call and they told me I got it. Whew! It seems like a really good job for me - low stress, no interacting with people in a customer service capacity, lots of entering and organizing data. And the people were all really sweet. And the hours are just sort of my choosing, since I'm the only student there.

I'm going to work as much as I can on Fridays, which will be about 5.5 hours, and then fill in the remaining 4-4.5 hours on Monday and Wednesday mornings. Maybe 2 each morning. They said they wanted someone to work 10 hours but I think if I do 9.5 that would be ok. So 9-11 MW, then 9-12:30 and 2:30-4:30 Friday. That would still give me between 11 and 1 to finish up any reading I might have for Rel 275, which is especially important on Wednesdays. Then I would still have all of Wednesday after 2:30 to prepare for my Thursday classes, plus Thursday between 2 and 7:30 to finish up whatever seminar reading I don't do earlier in the week, hopefully. Should be good. I'm not working this Wednesday, I told them I'd start Friday, so I want to do a dry run of getting that reading mostly done Tuesday afternoon. Which isn't easy, he gives a lot of reading, but I'll do my best.

I just have my math homework left to do today, so maybe I can get started right away. But I'm going to the Sophian at 7:30. But I don't know how long I'll be there. Since it's Monday I hope to get out at more like 11 or even 10:30 rather than 12 or 1, but if I can do one or two sections I'd be happy.

In case you can't tell from the way I'm using my LJ as a frenzied personal organizer, I'm really busy these days. But, hey, I have a job!

I also had a fantastic time this weekend, Katie visited and we just rolled around in JE the whole time. She's really becoming a fan of Kanjani8! :D Yaaay! She likes Yoko which is cute because he was my least favorite for a while. But now, thanks to [livejournal.com profile] ttthhbbbtt's awesome Recommen translations, both of us really like him. And we indulged our great, great and unsated love of TOKIO as much as we could, and we danced together to Sukiyanen, Osaka! I've been wanting to dance with someone to that song since I first watched the video, so it was really awesome. And we watched a couple episodes of My Boss, My Hero and shopped for my little ninja! :D Hopefully she'll like what I got her. (Little Ninja: first year in the house, I secretly leave her presents every day this week, then she finds out who I am at tea. I don't know my Little Ninja at all, so I hope she's nice and likes me, as well as my presents!) So, yeah. Katie and I just had such a good time. It was really great to have her here. :)

Hmm, I'm staring at the wall above my computer and I cooule probably move everything down a little. But that means re-tacking everything, and my tacks bend when you put them in the wall cos there's metal so they aren't really reusable. I'll leave it as it for now and see how I feel. Although at the moment Sho and Nino from Yamada Taro are right in front of my face and that's awesome but I might want to switch them with my big Kanjani8 with vegetables 2-page spread. And maybe swap Yamaguchi and Shige. We'll see.

I need to stop writing this, which I've been doing on and off all day, I started at 3 and then ended up getting summoned to my adviser and then wrote more and went to dinner. Anyway, the point is I need to stop now and do my math homework. And watch Yoiko no Mikata which is the freaking cutest thing ever!! Katie and I discovered it's joys this weekend. Total, total score.

I'm slowly, slowly getting to know more people in the house. They really seem like a good bunch this year.

Ah! In addition to having a job interview and then getting the job, I also got a form filled out for dad and then mailed it and then did all my reading for Latin America. Being stressed gives me loads and loads of nervous energy. Which also makes me sleep really badly. XD And then I drink coffee in the morning. . .

OK. Math and pre-school teacher Sho await!
