Lookit Christmas Hellboy! :)
Dec. 23rd, 2008 07:36 pmStolen and adapted from
shimmerdusk. I made it 5 people instead of 10 cos I'm lazy.
The first 5 people to comment in this post get to request a sketch of a character of their choosing from me. In return, they have to post this in their journal, regardless of their drawing ability level. If you absolutely can't draw, I don't see why you wouldn't be able to offer drabbles or icons or something instead.
I can draw okay. See? Copying things is easier, though - I recently did a drawing on the back of a manila folder copying a Rembrandt self-portrait in sharpie. I was bored at work. I really like the way it turned out! XD Anyway, no promises on when things will get scanned. If only I could find my tablet. . . But yeah, this seems like fun so comment away!
Had a lovely day off today. :D Slept til noon, chillaxed til 2:30-ish, then hung out with mom. We made (delicious) cookies and talked about Shackleton (I think she brought him up!) and watched the beginning of the Colin Firth Pride & Prejudice, aka the most awesome adaptation of anything ever. XD Then, latkes for dinner! I'm incredibly fond of latkes. I ate 6 or 7. So delicious!!
My brother is home visiting from Boston, it's fun and like old times having him here. Lots of banter. XD Also yesterday we were having spaghetti and Mike declared that spaghetti=fun and I thought that was adorable so I said, "yay!" quietly. And Mike was like "Haha, that equation makes Laura happy." Indeed. Is it a Japanese thing? I've started using "yay!" a lot more, just to express more generic happiness. It feels good, somehow. Like you're celebrating the little things.
