gyahh

soz for being a lazy ho with friends posts, things are insane here.

Today, my bookbag disappeared.

We went on our academons trip after first period.
wait. ibuprofen emergency.
OK. Uhm. So I show up in the commons and I need to go to the bathroom to change my pad (which I ended up leaving in all day. . . I am so bad about that!! I'm scared that I'll forget for a really long time and get an infection or something :-/) and I drop my bookbag on the floor. We get on the bus, and eventually I realize that I don't have my bookbag with me. gaah! when we get back I ask absolutely everyone. O_O ugh. i asked the security guards, and I asked this wack-job guy who hangs out (he was really nice and helpful) and then went to the main office and god knows where else. and nothing. And in the meantime, I'm freaking out because I think my sketchbook is in there, and I DO NOT want to redo it again. (it wasn't, thank heaven) So I can't hand in my social studies because it was in my bag and all, but I didn't get in trouble. whew. I had some stuff for French in my bookbag for a group assignment that was lost also, so I spoke to my french teacher and she was really nice about it, and said i could do it for Tuesday.
Luckily I had taken my chem storybook out of it and put it in my locker to make sure it didn't get squashed or anything, so me and Katie ran over to the 6th building to hand those in (since we weren't in class cos of the trip).
Then we head down to the music wing. (oh, I also asked some custodians if they'd seen it, and keep in mind that I'm a shy little person) As we're walking down the hall, a boy, Michael (cousin of some kids in my grade) asks if either of us is Laura ____. Well, he said my stuff was all over the boys bathroom!! O_O !!!!! Geez!! He helped me get it together and stuff, no one was in there. (he also apologized to me because someone hadn't flushed the toilet, which I thought was cute because it wasn't his fault.) oh my god. Well, everything was there. ok, not my pens. oooh, I just realized--my keys!! dammit. >.< shit. i spoke to my dad and he says we'll have to change the locks. oh well. Anyway, alll of my stuff was in there on the ground. it looked like he just shook the whole thing out. except that my pens weren't there. and maybe something I haven't thought of (the keys were clipped in so it makes sense that they wouldn't fall out.).
So all my stuff was there and I gathered it all up, and some of it was wet--my planner, for one, which is a pain, and my book of practice regents, oh well, and my great gatsby book was a bit damp, but whatever. Everything was there and ok. I got my books back and all. And most importantly, my sketchbook was at home. I'm never going to bring it to school again!!

so. what a day.

I'm so so relieved that I got my stuff back. :D

Wow, real bummer on the loss of your bag and pens and keys. But at least you got your stuff, and your assignments back. And you didn't lose your sketchbook! Yay!! Changing the keys in your house will be a pain though.

[identity profile] guingel.livejournal.com 2002-05-22 04:05 pm (UTC)(link)
yes--i think things turned out ok. and I only had one key, so its just one lock to change. whew.

[identity profile] tossblack.livejournal.com 2002-05-22 03:22 pm (UTC)(link)
eeep. things are crazy there. glad you got your stuff back at least. o.O

[identity profile] guingel.livejournal.com 2002-05-22 04:04 pm (UTC)(link)
::nodnod:: me too.

[identity profile] tckma.livejournal.com 2002-05-22 03:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Geez! Did you ever find your keys? Glad you got everything else back. *hugs*

Oh, and I'm no gynecologist, but I think you can only get an infection from a tampon, not a pad... *shrug* At least, that's what my female friends say.

[identity profile] guingel.livejournal.com 2002-05-22 04:01 pm (UTC)(link)
oops. you're right. I had to change my tampon--I wrote pad, for some reason that I can't figure out. i was wearing a pad, because eventually the tampon leaks, but I didn't have to change it, and that's not what I'm worried about. >.<

No, no keys. . . I forgot to mention that the bookbag itself was no where to be seen. either the person wanted a bookbag, or just dumped it somewhere. ::shrug:: it's replaceable--the rest of the stuff isn't.
::hugs back::

actually, the thief also has my hairbrush, a plastic bag, a cup, and I believe some pads and stuff.

Bookbag nicked?
Possibly containing a sketchbook?

Hmmmmm. That sounds somehow familiar.
God that you got most stuff back.

Hope keys will turn up.

lol! you're right! me and katie were actually wondering if there's some type of weird sketchbook stalker who's become obsessed with my art, and was the culprit when my sketchbook went missing at the beginning of the year! If only someone as nice as that little girl (who's name escapes me--Yuki?) had found my bookbag. lol. although then I might not have my stuff back ;)

me too--I'm still going to check the lost and found today, in case they decided they didn't want my bookbag and dumped it. I'd be very amused if they started using it and then were with all their friends when they opened a side pocket and all my female thingies started falling out XD

I remember when I was away at orchestra camp (stop laughing) a bunch of kids had stolen some poor girl's bag, taken the pads out, and ripped off the sticky part and stuck those to my dorm room door. harumph.

[identity profile] guingel.livejournal.com 2002-05-23 02:12 pm (UTC)(link)
oh my god. how stupid. and mean! for both of you--I mean, if that girl was getting her period then she'd have a real problem! :-/ ugh.

Aahh!

[identity profile] marishi.livejournal.com 2002-05-22 06:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh no oh no oh no!!!! ::sigh.:: I'm sorry that you lost the stuff you did ... But I'm glad you got all of your assignments back .. and glad your sketchbook was at home, your sketchbook rocks! Blah ...... the cup was taken! The green one? Nuu not the green cup!!! Gah .. ::sniffles.:: Ah well, it came out purty well, I'm glad. Yay.

yes, I'm soooo glad I have my stuff. and my sketchbook! I'd die if I had to redo it, I'm slagged as it is! (although I do have some stuff on the comp. . . maybe I should scan everything else!)
yes. . . my cup! lol. the academons cup. (you've heard about this?) We'd have soda at quizbowl, but no cups. The only cup we had was mine! lol. "We have soda and. . . one cup." Once we had the It's Academic trophy (which we lost today--ah well!) and we were gonna drink outta that XD But ah well. we have other similar cups. . . probably other green ones ;)

yeah, i think things turned out ok. as long as it was just a random stupid thing to do and not someone gunning for me. I don't think so. otherwise they would have just taken the stuff.

hooo. :) what a day.

pittypitty icon, btw! not as sexy as my beautiful Francine ;) but lovely nonetheless! lol. ::is madly in love with Francie:: XD

You're lucky you got almost all of your stuff back. When my backpack got snatched from outside the college book store, I never saw any of it again :'( I loved that backpack, it was a great one, Eddie Bauer, practically indestructible and backed with a lifetime guarentee, and it was see thru with a bright orange thing down the middle. I'd just put my ~brand new~ Ferret Shock button onto the back pack the night before... and I had my folder with ~all~ my stories in it... and almost all of those I ~hadn't~ typed up. The rest of the stuff was very replacible, so I didn't care about it, I just wanted my stories, my backpack, and my ferret shock button. The journal with a couple pages of writing exercises for Poetry class with the leather cover would have been nice to get back though...

I'm glad you got most of your stuff back, and I hope you get the rest of it back at some point :)

I never lost my bag in high school, mostly because I was Paranoid!Girl. It was ALWAYS with me, and I checked frequently to see that all the zippers were closed and everything was inside. My problem was with my locker. In 10th grade (fuck, 10th grade was like, the total SHITS) my problems with these bullies escalated to the point where they sabotaged my bike and my locker. I had to start hiding my bike off-campus so they wouldn't steel the seat or pour goo all over it. And they poured goo through the vents in my locker (and did other things, which I won't talk about, that made me want to scream and kill and die).

A lot of people in high school are just horrible little monsters. Whoever took your bag is one of them. I hope they get what's coming to them.

aww. :( that really sucks. thank god high school is just 4 years. :-/

No kidding.
