sorry. . .

I'm not sure how much I'm going to be around now. I get home from work at 7, and I've really got to get to bed by 11. I've been pretty tired when I get home thus far, and I don't think that'll change much. As I get used to the hours I may be able to check my friends page more. I do intend to respond to comments at some point. Because I kind of have a pile at this point. Sorry if you get a really late comment. But LJ, and computing in general, is kinda on a hold at the moment. I'm kinda checking for fics, but I also haven't really felt like reading them much. Stargate is good. And reading. We'll see what happens as I get into the swing of things.

So anyway, I'm pretty tired thus far. It's a long day. But everyone that I'm working with is lovely. As of yet they don't really have much for me to do. But I've found an assignment that will keep me busy. So we shall see how things pan out. But I really am working in an office full of lovely people. Our "group" is 5 people, including me. But 3 of them are on the other side of the hall from me. I've mostly seen the one guy who's on my side. He's also the closest to my age--just graduated from college. Really nice, very geeky looking ^_^ He's been nice about me doing duckling duty. And there's a severe shortage of space--which is why we're all spread out. So I'm at the other end of the area from him, and today when I was working he popped back a couple times to check on me. :D Which is so nice. My boss, the head of our group, and the woman who is technically his secretary but who does. . . a lot, are both crazy nice as well. But very, very busy. We're working on what is probably the most important project at the Dept of Buildings (DOB) so they aren't really around much, sadly. And the last woman is somewhere across the hall, I think, so I've barely seen her. But I met her and was kinda sitting in on a conversation between her and our boss (not the boss. there's a big boss, and there's my boss. But I barely know the boss.) and she was really nice as well. I've been lead to believe that there are other people in this group, but most of them are at Dad's building, which is kinda the main building. We're supposed to move. . . possibly at the end of this month. . . but probably later. But we're not moving to that building! Anyway, things are pretty crazy there. Between the business and the work, the total lack of space, it's kinda insane. But good. I can't wait to get more settled, though. It's stressful at the beginning. Especially if I need another assignment, and I know that there's no telling where my boss will be. But what I've set myself up with now (his "secretary" told me about it yesterday, but she wasn't in today, so I just got started on it myself) should keep me busy for the nonce.

I think things are going to be good, though.

Too tired to really manage to process much more to say about it, so I'll end here.

I'm a working girl, now ;)
