whine whine whine--status update, for the record

been reading copious amounts of fanfiction and am really not feeling well. Hence my absence. I mean, I could comment on livejournal entries and read fanfic. It's just that I've been way tired and head-achy all week. I'm going to try to get to bed early tonight. Like, next 10 minutes. What the hell is up with my clock, because it's definitely 10:19, and not 20:40, whenever that is. 8:40? Anyway, feeling really pretty crap. And APs are coming up, and I'm way not prepared. Feeling fairly stressed. Haven't done a lot of preparation, I'm not saying I've been busy because of APs, exactly, but I'm not feeling very good about them. There's a lot of physics that I don't know, and we have very little time left to meet. The poor teacher is ridiculously busy, and me and the other student don't exactly have empty schedules either.

anyway, not feeling well. And period-ing. I could probably get away with not going to school tomorrow, or just coming in ninth period to see if physics teacher has made it back to the school from the trip she's going to be on (O_O). . . but can I get away with it in terms of work? Two days left til French AP. Haven't done the french homework, by the way, but Katie and I can do it tomorrow. Calculus is kind of a lost cause, but I still feel I should be there for the review. Gov is shit, I get nothing out of that class. Art I have one more piece to do and only 3 days left to do it in. So basically, I can't afford to miss anythink. Except Gov.

Ugh.

The other annoying thing about the physics is that I know the teacher feels really bad, and it's totally not her fault. I mean, I was looking at all the stuff I don't know, and the practice free response problems, and I was freaked out. I do feel a bit gypped, because I would have a much better chance of doing well if we'd been able to meet more. But, the teacher shouldn't feel bad. She always tries to get to us, but she's the department chair, and probably the only competent person in the school, and the principal, or a dean, or the superintendent or some other moron always needs to meet with her. She's ridiculously busy. So she shouldn't feel bad.

I don't think I'm ever going to finish writing about the Virginia trip. suckage.

Crap. My parents also keep telling me I need to get in touch with [livejournal.com profile] cloudtrader, and I keep being too lazy. I can't remember what it's about. Hotel, I think?

that's basically a summary of my life at the moment! :)

Thanks--I hope so, too! I'm going to try to take better care of myself.

I'm sorry you're feeling shitty, hon. *hugs*

Okay, for hotel: I have the reservations made. We will be staying at the Holiday Inn on the Bay.

1355 North Harbor Drive
San Diego, CA 92101
Phone: (619)232-3861 / Fax (619)232-3951

For all three nights, and including tips for the maid and hotel parking, the price should come to about $90-ish dollars each. I'd bring $100 each, just in case. This does not include food. I REALLY REALLY suggest that both you and Katie bring a whole bunch of food that can keep with you, since food at the convention center is somewhat limited and WAY expensive. We also usually do a grocery shopping trip to get more food while we're down there, but still. A loaf of bread, canned meats, granola bars, juice boxes, things like that are GOOD. I usually bring a backpack of food, unpack the food in the hotel room once we arrive, and use the backpack during the day to carry around my stuff at the Con so my hands are free. Also, bring communication instruments. Cell phones are good in case we want to go off in seperate directions.

More info later. I have to go to work now. ^_^

Woo! Excellent! :D Thanks loads--definitely helping to make me feel better. :)

I think I'm going to have gotten my own cell phone by then--right now I share Katie's and mom's (it's kind of funny cos my friends are very gung-ho about getting cell phones, and we have them and don't care) so communication shouldn't be a problem. ^_^ And even if I don't, I'll definitely be with Katie, because my sense of direction is too iffy for me to wander off on my own! ;)

I've also been instructed to tell you that we've been looking at flights, and daad wants to know what time is good for you. I think we'd said after noon on the 22? Thursday? And then it'd be into San Diego. And also, good times for the return flight. (I finally asked what I was supposed to find out about XD)

[identity profile] cloudtrader.livejournal.com 2004-04-30 12:17 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, after noon is better for me. I mean, we usually attempt to leave LA pretty early in the morning, but often we only get to San Diego until after noon. So yes, Thursday afternoon is better for me.

The con closes at 5pm on Sunday. I guess it depends on when your father feels like picking you up that night, though. I mean, he probably wouldn't want you guys to come in TOO late, as I assume he has work Monday morning. Tell him to pick a flight that allows you to get home before 11 or so, and we'll work around that on this end, 'kay?

OK, very cool. I believe his plan is to look up several flight times, and then you'll be able to see which looks best.

I'm all excited--it seems more real, now :D Dad will be very happy to have all this info as well.
