Here's something that I forgot to tell you all yesterday. lol. Because the entry wasn't long enough, right? Well, forgot to tell you isn't exactly the right phrase. But forgot to write up, and I meant to.

Anyway. I ended up walking quite a long distance. We started out at the Met, which is at 5th Ave and about 80th St (it's a big building), then we walked to 64th and 2nd, for Hellboy. And then we ended up walking all the way to Penn Station, which is at 34th St & 8th Ave. So we pretty much crossed Manhattan from side to side, and ended up going all the way from 80th St to 34 St. So we did walk a great deal. And it was a lot of fun! :D It felt good, and I really, really enjoyed walking with Dad. It was so much nicer to be able to take our time (well, we walked fast, but meaning that we didn't have a train to catch at any specific time) and not have to take a subway. We got to talk and it was a lot of fun. We also saw a shirt for Katie--Knitting Club, or something. :D And we passed a store which had just started a song, and I only heard the introduction. I knew I recognized the intro, but couldn't remember which song it was, so I kept singing--and it was Flowers, by Cibo Matto! I made Dad go back, he was kind of confused. XD And sure enough, they were playing Cibo Matto. This was really cool, and all--I love any chance to hear music I actually know, and artists I actually like. The thing that surprised me was that this store was The Gap! And I've never really thought that Cibo Matto was very mainstream. . . but there you go. Lol. So that was fun. And I got to hold Dad's hand, which is fun :) I don't know. I never outgrew that. ^_^

Other thing I forgot to mention. We saw the trailer for the King Arthur movie that's coming out. . . whoa!!! Sir Lancelot is played by Horatio Hornblower with facial hair!! Well, Ioan Gruffud. I was totally amused, both by his prescence and his facial hair. I may have to see that movie. . . too funny. It's obviously nothing like as good as anything with Jamie Bamber, but it's still amusing!! XD

OK, now I want to do a meme stolen from [livejournal.com profile] cloudtrader. Because it's neat.

Gender break-down of icons:
My icons are kind of strange, so I'll see what I can do. This would be so easy during the Mucha period! XD

3 faces of actual people, female. That would be me, all three times (I spend a lot of time with Katie. She takes a lot of pictures). But in one of them I'm all tiny and far away. Nonetheless, there's me reading water, me confused, and me on dock. :D

0 faces of actual people, male. ::shrugs:: Unless you count the vend-a-goat guy? This is hard! OK, 1 actual male. But not face. Arms and groin, really.

1 image stolen from artist, female. that'd be Kixie, who is stolen from Terry Moore. Yes. I got the right Terry. Pratchett, Moore, and Jones get me confused. I don't talk about Gillian cos he scares me. Oh, wait! The lips are definitely female. (that's my art!)
So 2 for female.

4 images stolen from random artists, male. Gabe, from PA. Gabe, from Gabe. Err, Gabriel Knight. Ahh, Gabe. That Gabe. The Shattenjaeger. Whoa!! The next male is Jaeger, from Finder. Weird. I have Gabe, Gabe the Shattenjaeger, and Jaeger! Then there's Timmy. aka Robin. Delperdang and Woods? I can't remember who drew that one. Wait, Delperdang is the inker, I think. I just love the name. Ah well, whatever.

Then there's da munki and the bag pirate, who I think of as male. ish.

And 3 gender-neutral. the spaetzle, the dock, and the flamingo, none of which I've assigned a gender. The flamingo is not a lawn ornament, though!

So. . . 7 male, 5 female, and 3 neutral? If you count da munki and bag pirate. Which you probably shouldn't. So that makes me 5, 5, 5. :D (I'm just glad I have 15 icons and not, say, 18!!)

I think I need to change the default one sometime. I love the icons, for the most part, but I may want to do a bit of shifting, and redesign my journal. Most of them I'm still happy to keep. I like the random mix. I haven't had one in a while. And the ones with me in them are fun!
