I'm feeling a bit under the weather, but considering that today was very lovely out, if a bit cloudy, that doesn't say much.

As far as I know, I've gotten into everywhere except Wesleyan, who I haven't heard from. :D

Barnard sent the acceptance but not a financial aid information, which is confusing and irksome. I am not having good financial aid luck thus far!

Smith mailed their's yesterday, but I was able to check online, and it looks like I'm in!

Katie has also gotten in everywhere that's gotten back to her thus far. :D

Thus, I have a lot of deciding to do. I think somewhere around the ninth we're heading up to boston. Yeah. Thursday, actually, which is I think the eighth. So Katie is going to go to a reception at BU, and visit Brandeis again, I believe, and I'm going to revisit Wellesley. And we're going to go to a reception at Barnard sometime next month as well. I believe that only 2 guests can accompany Katie to the BU thing, so one parent is going to go with her and another is going to take me around Boston. Well. You know what I mean. Do a bit of sight-seeing. I loved Boston when mom, Katie, and I went in seventh grade. That was a fantastic trip. The school trip was to Philadelphia, which we'd already been to several times. So we went up to Boston for four days. Well, first we spent two days in Boston, and went to the aquarium and did that. . . Freedom Path? Whatever they're called. And then we went down and stayed in a motel and saw Plymouth Rock and Plymouth Plantation, or whatever the Bethpage-esque thing is down there. It was really cool. Much heavier than Bethpage, I believe. But I love OBVR.

Am going to watch A Knight's Tale tonight, because the girl who played Door in the Neverwhere miniseries is in it. Or rather, I'm watching it because it's going to be on channel 4, I've wanted to watch it ever since i looked up Laura Fraser and saw she was in it. Yay Laura's! ;)

Congrats!
[tries not to be biased towards Smith]

(And it's the Freedom Trail.)

Thanks :) I'm still leaning heavily to Smith, except that as the time draws nearer, I'm more disposed toward staying closer to home. If I went to Barnard, I'd know that I could hop on the LIRR and go home, or meet my dad for lunch anytime i wanted. But I also don't think that I'd be happy in the city for four years, even though I love it--I don't think I want to live there. And Smith is so gorgeous. There are a lot of other factors, many of which push me toward Smith (although I also like the proximity to Columbia--I love the Columbia campus, and since I'm still a little worried about the all-girls thing, being right next to a coed school, and being almost part of it would lessen that). actually, aside from the above two, most of them push me toward Smith. So it does seem likely that that'll be my choice--I've also been told to expect more financial aid from them, although it looks like I won't be getting much of anything. uhm, anyway. Yes. Many factors to think about. Must make with visiting.

thank you very much! :D However, I don't think I'll need to (or will have time!). I got to see a great deal of Smith on my previous visit--and liked pretty much everything! :)

The Freedom Trail.

And Sturbridge Village.

I've done neither, and I've lived in New England for 4 years now.

I love the Aquarium though. Penguins!!! :)

Funny, but I'm going to my parents' for Easter that weekend. I might be able to pop into Boston on the 9th, but it looks like I wouldn't be able to meet up with you anyway, as you'll be busy.

freedom trail, right!

Oooh! So that's Sturbridge Village!! A lot of people from Bethpage did a road trip there at the end of last summer, but I also got the feeling that it was more toward Western Mass. Silly me. Now their comparisons make more sense, although Sturbridge is some 250 years before Bethpage.

:D Katie doesn't like fish, so she just looked at the penguins most of the time, while mom and I wandered. During our overnights, when Katie was at Brandeis and our parents were in Boston (having deposited me at Smith), they went to the aquarium and got us nice sweatshirts.

awww, too bad we'll miss you :( I've no idea what I'm going to be doing during the BU thing, but we could have gone on the Freedom Trail! ;)
