gorgeous, gorgeous weather. just so happy. me and katie have highly similar religious ideas to the Deists of the Enlightenment. I think Katie's slightly more so and I'm slightly less--my god is warmer and closer, but you know. a lot of the basic ideas are the same, so social studies was fun, it was one of those things that increases my faith in the human race. I'm storing them up to take out and use when I need them. My friends help, so do all of you :) My life is really great now, and it always has been, but now I'm trying to be happy, exerting an effort, and that helps so much. But anyway, I'm so happy now, and I don't know if things will always be that way, and I know it is much much easier to have faith in humanity when you're happy and surrounded by people who love you and care about you and stuff, so I'm storing things up. Like, I don't want to forget that there are good people if I'm ever surrounded by bad ones. Of course, I'm going to try my very best to keep myself safe and happy, but there's no way to control the future. But if I can get proof now that all people aren't evil, that most are dumb and ignorant and annoying, and that some are just wonderful, well, hopefully I won't convince myself otherwise somewhere down the line.

Anyway (I feel silly now. . .) it's a lovely day out, and after school we went and sat outside under "The Tree" and we finished writing the questions for the RENT quiz (and I've typed them up and posted them, weez, if you haven't checked yet) and I bought ice cream. . . with 2 quarters, 6 nickels, and 2 dimes. hehehe. It was funny because there was kinda a long line at the ice cream machine, and there I am, putting in coin after coin after coin. (well, 10) But I got my ice cream and it was delicious. Just a good day. Plenty of homework, but nothing I can't handle. And I have the house to myself because everyone else went to the mall. so hopefully that'll help. Some of our interloans came in today!! Graham Crackers!! And also Ripping Yarns :D yay!!

and I'm reading fanfic, I found a new page. this is pretty bad for me--I was being so good about the computer when I had nothing left to read. lol. But there's not a whole lot of stuff here, I'm working through it pretty fast. ;)

my cousin's bridal tea (my aunt told her she'd never have a shower) was great. That's where I was on Sunday. It was a total surprise to her :D yay! and it was a lot of fun. We got her a lot lot lot of gifts, but they were small things. Still, it was funny and I felt good when she kept pulling stuff out from us. My dad is her only uncle (no aunts, either. . . her mother is my dad's only sister, and I don't know about her dad. . .) so we're her only cousins. And they're so nice, it was great to be able to give her so much stuff. I had a good time. And the food was great! :D and we listened to the Monty Python CD on the way there.

on the way home from school today, me and Katie were examining the state of the trees on the way home. "The Tree" is right outside our French room, and it doesn't have leaves yet, but it's covered in these funny fluffy green things. Most of the other trees have got branches full of buds. I love spring. It's so uplifting.

all is well in my little world.

basically I've only read GW and Titans fiction. I've dabbled in Digimon, but it's really not as good--hard to find sites for what I want. Although I'm in the middle of a Digimon fic now, but she doesn't update enough.

but the site I've just found is GW. . . except that my type of fanfic right now is like. . . well, the site is divided into 3 sections: Slavery, Prostitution, and BDSM. ::shrug:: I dunno. bdsm is kinda my thing right now. I've been skipping any parts in fics that have 3x4 though. lol. Like, I read a long one that had everyone in it, and I was just kinda skimming the bits that didn't have Duo (Heero with Duo was good, but as long as Duo was there I read it). Which is kinda odd, cos I was starting to get a little more moderate in my tastes, but whatever. I still can't read 3x4 fiction. Wufei's good though ;)

I mean, I don't read a lot of fandoms because I don't know a whole lot. . . very limited acess to anime, although I could read Evangelion fiction, I suppose, but I haven't found any and I don't know if there are any pairings I'd like to read about. . . not attached enough to the characters, I suppose.

Cool, I read in both the Titans and the GW fandoms, but not Digimon. I also read fanfic in many many other fandoms. Many many. I tend to obsess over one fandom for a few months and then move on, maybe revisiting that fandom a few years later. I'm currently obsessing over Harry Potter. Before that it was Sports Night and The West Wing, and before them were Buffy/Angel. My first fandom was The X-Files (lo, those many years ago when it was shiny and new... shit, like 7 years ago now... gettin' old...) and I read my way through The Gossamer Archives thinking how cool it all was. I actually saved up interesting stories because I figured there couldn't be too much of this neat fanfic thing out there. Little did I know. Ah well. Other obsessions have included Highlander, Due South, Sentinel, Quantum Leap, Emergency!, Starsky & Hutch, Homicide, and Star Trek. Mostly, I read slash and gen, although certain fandoms and pairings (Mulder/Scully, Methos/Alexa) just cry out for het. I don't much care for bdsm or slave-fic, but I do like prostitute/dark past stories. And I've written fanfic, too.

Sorry, didn't mean to babble on about myself like that.

wow! geez! that's some list! I like slash too. . . I have problems with het. yuri is fun, and I'm getting into it now, but I have trouble finding a pairing that I like. . . I don't know. In real life girls are sexier than guys (even if I prefer guys, girls are more fun to look at) but anime girls. . . I don't like them. (except for Misato, but still) (I just got way off-topic)

I don't know. . . there are probably fics for other things I'm familiar with, but they just don't appeal to me. I guess I'm weird about who I can read fanfiction about. I dunno.

Anyway, you never need to apologize to me about babbling, because that's all I do, and I think that not only do I get annoying, I get incoherent. I makes me feel better when someone else joins me ;) (although more coherently)
