I had a good day like you would not believe yesterday :D Or maybe you would. lol. Nothing too extraordinary happened.

first up:
MY DAD GOT ME AMERICAN GODS!!!!!!!!
(soz--normally caps piss me off, but this was too exiciting for lower-case ;)

secondly, I did absolutely nothing all day. I got up, used the computer, vegged, ate a donut--my parents went to NJ to visit my great aunt who'd just recently got out of the hospital, I believe. (she had a stroke, but she's ok) So me and Katie had the house to ourselves. Oh yes, because Mike was asleep til 12 and he left the house at 12:15. (oops--I was supposed to wake him at 11!) Anyway, when I got off the computer, I got a blanket, and a pillow, and American Gods, and read in the hammock. :D It was such a beautiful day, I had so much fun!! And then I stopped reading and took a long nap, and when I woke up, everybody was home! And then we went to Kenny Roger's for dinner, which was fun also.

And I didn't do any homework--teachers went light, I only have a little math. Although I need to do a lot of work on my sketchbook. ugh. And I talked to [livejournal.com profile] shateredwings on AIM, which was fun.

Oh yes! And I read all of Mac Hall, which [livejournal.com profile] tiggspanther sent me to. And I really really liked it! I'm going to reread it, and read all the little notes at the bottom this time ;) And I need to keep reading Penny Arcade. I like it, although it's not going to be one of my favorites. Mac Hall is just awesome, I kept reading things aloud to Katie.

::wonders why Penny Arcade guy is named Tycho Brahe:: It boggles my mind.

:D yeah, I love those days. I don't think I go outside enough, but nice weather just makes me feel so good. Like, our hammock is under a tree, so all the sunlight was filtering through the leaves, and it was just really. . . good. lol.

Tycho's adopted that pseudonym for a reason that was explained in a post at some point. Maybe cause the real one wore a gold nose during his life. But you must read it! NOw!

riiiight. . . I remember that. My textbook said "he'd lost a piece of his nose in a dueling match in his youth and replaced it with gold." wild. They also said something about him being. . . intense? Something like that. My social studies textbook loves to tell us about the personalities of these people. I don't know. What else can I remember about him. . . Johannes Kepler (I'm not sure on his first name) was his assistant, Kepler came up with a lot of cool laws which I think I remember (elliptical orbits, length of orbit equal to distance from sun. . . one other which escapes me) and Brahe himself just did a whole lot of really detailed observation from his observatory. . . and I think he took detailed notes on a falling star or something that helped to disprove Aristotles 10 crystal globe theory.

sorry. . . just wanted to see what I remember. I mean, the AP is over, but whatever.

No worries, it's all good. But Brahe was a neat person even if you had to learn about him in an ap class.

There: "An imposing man who exploited his peasants arrogantly and approached the heavens humbly." (I had to look it up)

he does seem interesting.
