good weather
Feb. 5th, 2004 05:12 pmwhoo! the time is right! :)
Anyway, I woke up this morning feeling really happy. Which is odd, because I got up 15 minutes early (6:15) to take a shower. I think it's because yesterday I actually saw the sun. And got to absorb real, warm sunlight. Vitamin D! And whatever it is that the lack of gives people cabin fever and depression in winter! We're all really longing for spring. It's not a good sign when we're all thrilled at how warm it is when it's 40 degrees. lol. Not that we're in The Long Winter, -40 territory. (That's The Long Winter by Laura Ingalls Wilder, btw.) Ah well. It was still quite lovely yesterday, and we went outside without our coats, and I was able to walk home without my hat on. However, there was mass meltage, and I fell into a watery death trap on my way home--the sidewalk right near my house! It's hard to swim in sneakers.
Luckily, I didn't actually have to swim. :D But I did have to wade, and my pants got wet. :( Today there was a lot of interesting ice, and Katie and I cracked as much of it as possible on our way home from school: increasing surface area for maximum meltage later on. Although it's supposed to get cold and snow and possibly even rain some more, so -_-
That's actually why I wanted to post. Good weather is that remarkable! And I am happy about it. Am also pleased that I got a 100 on my sketchbook (that's a percentage, if any of you have different grading systems) which I thought was quite awful. As I believe I mentioned in my previous entry. Also pleased that we finally met for physics, and talked about circular motion (we're now behind other physics classes! Not good!) and I understood things, and all. And I'm happy that I only have current events to do tonight for homework. Yay! I'll be able to finish watching Shop Around the Corner with mom (old Jimmy Stewart version of "You've Got Mail"--way cute). And maybe even watch some Stargate with Katie--who is out practicing driving now--meep! Yesterday we watched Hathor. And it was quite exciting. We enjoyed ourselves muchly--particularly when Sam and Janet started seducing people. We were cracking up.
Katie is back! I hope driving was ok. (dad says it went very, very well)
So, uh. . . how is everyone today? :D (yes, I can't think of anything to say. pop!)

Date: 2004-02-05 03:15 pm (UTC)Well I , for one, am fine. Work's going well. (And still going! And is a somewhat more laid-back week than last week was.
Am chilling out, listening to music, drinking coffee, and contemplating getting some decent sleep before work tomorrow.
You got a good weekend planned?

So far all I have planned for this weekend is to go to the mall with Katie after she gets back from drivers ed on Saturday. Still good, though. And I have to do my circular motion problems ;) I shouldn't have too much other work, though, which is lovely.
