wooo!! Mike unlocked Prince of Persia 1 on Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time! It was awesome! Soooooo way cool. I got such a kick out of watching him play that--seeing it again. Am thrilled.
Am also thrilled at my unbelievable levels of carefree-ness. I haven't been this low stress in a while. I just have my french midterm tomorrow afternoon (so I'm going to head to bed soon). And I may look over some stuff for that tomorrow, but, not really a great deal of studying required. I'm being liberal with my use of commas, by the way. Sorry. :D
Only one really worrying thing. Next Saturday I'm apparently going to the National Science Bowl--I have to be on the north shore of LI (I live on the South shore) by 8 AM. O_O But that's not the real problem. I just don't feel like I'm a good choice for our team, as I can't remember anything except physics. Oy!!! Am kinda worried. Also. . . ugh. . . forgot to talk over with my parents if they want to go or not. And I have to get that to my physics teacher some how.
This also means that I'd be missing my last day of drivers ed, on the last day of the fall session, but I've been told, in as many words, not to worry about that. So, I won't.
In the meantime, I'm just enjoying my relaxing week of relative freedom, by doing stuff like staying up until four. :D I think a friend of mine from Bethpage is going to be sleeping over Tuesday evening, and then Wednesday afternoon we're going to the mall. ::gasp:: Laura? A social life? Must be a pod person.
Today, my big accomplishment was finally watching Hayao Miyazaki's Castle in the Sky! And it is awesome!!! Me and Katie had such a riotous good time watching it. That movie was all about Pazu's ass. (that was our big conclusion about the movie) And, thanks to Anna Paquin, Sheeta had about eight accents through the course of the film. At one point she had "Pippi Longstocking Dub Accent", which impressed Katie and I, but didn't last long. James Van Der Beek did a startlingly good job as Pazu, forcing us to like him--but grudgingly (James, not Pazu. We liked Pazu ungrudgingly and unreservedly). Also: Dola's breasts. I ph34r.
Oooh, and am very, very excited about RotK winning all four Golden Globes that they were nominated for. Yay!!! Am surprised--was very unexpected, but so happy! (it's late, I'm growing progressively more incoherent. Also, Mike is now watching Wayne's World 2, which, quite frankly, does not contribute to added coherency.)
My other activities for today were almost entirely centered around Alan Rickman. Which was great fun, except that I get the feeling if he knew, he wouldn't approve of my fangirl-ish behavior. Nonetheless, I've developed an addiction to his voice. Predictable, I know, but inescapable. Anyway, much insatiable Alan Rickman love today. I've even grown extremely fond of his name. To say nothing of his face. Which is now making regular appearances on my friends page, thanks to

Date: 2004-01-26 07:29 am (UTC)I've been informed that I don't have to go to the North shore, I have to go really, really far east. ::shrug:: The point is that I have a very long car drive, very early in the morning. I dunno. Oh well. Anyway, thanks for the vote of confidence :)
