love snow! :) Even though it's horribly cold. I just had to go and put some trash in the trash can outside, and I couldn't get the lid off, and snow got on my hands and it was not good. But, nonetheless. Snow has all the good points of rain, plus, it's fun to play in and is really, really, really pretty. And awesome. The good points they share are that both make it feel really good and cozy to be inside. And snow does that really, really well! I've had the best, most cozy, relaxed day.

Plus, yesterday, when it started to snow, (how many sub-clauses/clarifiers can I put in one sentence. oooh, grammar-speak. But is that what I really want to say? I don't know!) we were told that drivers ed was cancelled both for that day, and Saturday! (today) So I don't have to see my fucktard of an instructor for 3 weeks!! Cos I didn't have class last week, because of Thanksgiving. So awesome! :) And then we said, "ooh, Orland Bloom is going to be on Leno, and Laura doesn't have drivers ed at 9:30. We should have a sleepover!" Except Perin ([livejournal.com profile] froggie115p) couldn't come, because she had to go home and do college stuff, and she lives all the way on the other side of town, and her parents didn't want to drive her back in the snow. Dammit! :( I mean, it's good, because now everyone is still alive and no one was killed in some sort of accident, but we would have had a lot more fun with her--especially because she's the huge Orlando fan of the bunch. So we missed Perin--but we still had a great time. We ended up having me and Katie sleep over at Emily's ([livejournal.com profile] d3c3p7i0n) house, and first we went to CVS and stocked up on candy--I finally got myself some candy canes, I've been craving them for weeks. I also got a bag of little mini Hershey's chocolate bars. Most excellent. And we chilled and did girly teenage sleepover things (discussed penis sizes--albeit from a virgin's point of view. . . it was really funny. although I'm rather more of a virgin than the other two. ::sigh:: Very horny.) and watched this bizarrely fascinating show on, uhm. . noggin? Some cable channel. It's called Degrassi, and the last time we were at Em's they were doing, like "Top Ten Most Intense Moments", or embarassing, or violent, or funny, or whatever, from the show, and we all kinda got sucked in. XD Then we had fun with the Pirates of the Caribbean DVD (which my brother bought) and watched Leno, and put the Orlando bit on my LOTR media tape. I I think I may need to start a new one, though. I wonder. . . I need to experiment. Anyway.

Today, I explored the Two Towers Extended Edition DVD. :D WHOOOOOOOOOO! It is awesome. I've only had the first disc in--so I watched the extended stuff, and then I started the cast commentary (I love commentaries. I love Billy and Dom!), which is great, and saw about half of that (so a quarter of the total) before I fell asleep. I woke up and found that a lens had fallen out of my glasses--the screw had come undone. I had taken them off while I slept, by the way. Anyway, mom was able to fix them and I had some really good tomato soup with butter and cut pictures of Jamie Bamber in Battlestar Galactica out of the TV guide and used the computer. And that's been pretty much it! I do want to get a great deal done for my social studies research paper on parental consent for abortions for girls under 18.

whoo! the computer just crashed, but I managed to copy and paste and save this, and now I'm going to finish it several hours later. In which time, I finished the excellent book, Wee Free Men, by Terry Pratchett. It was awesome!! Tiffany rocks. So do Nac Mac Feegle. :) And I had dinner.

So, I'm planning to do my english research paper on comic books. Because the topic needs to be something related to any of the books we've read, and when I was reading The Things They Carried, and one of the things that Rat Kiley carries is comic books. And every time I read that, I'd wonder what kind of comic books he was carrying, because, you know, I'm crazy like that. So now I have two possibilities for my english paper, and I need to choose one by Monday. I could either just examine the comics of the late 60s early 70s, or I could do it on comics about and during war times in general (The Things They Carried, which is an excellent book by Tim O'Brien, is about the Vietnam War). However, I'm not sure which one I should do. . . or how I'd do either one. Meep! I'm kinda nervous. I really want to do this, but I'm not really going to be able to go out and buy a whole bunch of old comics. And will I be able to find books to use as resources? I don't know. . . So if you have any ideas, tell me!
