Hello! Intensely amusing occurence yesterday. Damnation. I was just kicked off the computer by Katie and it is now about 3 hours later. Or 6:43. Two hours? I don't know. Numbers, counting. . . all very difficult. Anyway! Senior poll voting was yesterday. We did the nominations last week. Wait, Tuesday was voting? It doesn't matter. Today is Thursday, right? XD I'm not doing so good here. Anyway, I'm nominated for Teacher's Pest! Yes, that's right, Pest. As in, opposite of Teacher's Pet. XD I don't know if it's obvious via livejournal, but, well. . . I may not exactly be the teacher's pet, because I'm not a suck-up and I'm quiet, but I'm certainly far closer to that than I am to being the teacher's "pest"--in fact, teachers usually love me. I am a Good Student. Not to mention Salutatorian. So, how did this come about, you may ask? And you may not. Actually, you probably won't, as I'm about to tell you. I mean, you can still ask, but it'd be pretty silly. Sorry. Uhm. Anyway. Senior Polls, for anyone who doesn't know, are when you vote different members of the senior class as, say, most likely to suceed, most likely to be famous, pedestrians worst nightmare, life of the party, best physique, best to take home to mom and dad, and so on. The winners get pictures in the yearbook and everything, and there's a male and female winner for each category. And no one could think of a female teacher's pest. I mean, there are people, but no one who stands out. And in my English class--which is where we got the nomination sheets (you write down a name for each category, and the people with the most nominations get put on the ballot) and were filling them out, no one could figure out who to put, and I jokingly told someone to put me down--because it's so completely silly and ridiculous. And then, the rest of the class ended up putting me down. And apparently this spread, because I was on the ballot! XD I am just waaaaay too amused by this. I mean, I'm up against two people who actually are pests (although one of them is also nominated as a teacher's pet, bizarrely. She kind of is--she sucks up, even though teachers don't like her) so the odds that I'll win, considering that no one has gotten that I'm actually down as a joke, the main response has been confusing. But still.

By the way, it is insane seeing Keanu Reeves as a doctor. Just. . . no. Do not let that man come anywhere near you with a scalpel.

Also got kinda sick during dance. There was almost womitage on the gym floor. >.> Well, maybe. But the weird thing was, although I was actually feeling sick and considering sitting out, it was mainly my head that was hurting. I hadn't felt nauseous all day. And, also. Soon after the womiting incident (sorry, the "womit" is a side effect of reading James Herriot books. And me and Katie just like to add "-age" to the ends of words) I stopped doing the stretches, but that wasn't actually because I was sick, it was because I pushed myself too hard and hurt my leg. And after that I started to do the dancing, but then she started to mess with the stereo, so I decided to go up and tell her that I wasn't feeling that well and I might sit down later and stuff, but I didn't even get past "I'm feeling a little sick" when she interrupted me and said "yeah, I saw. You can go sit down." So, uhh, woo! A strange series of events led to me getting to watch the dance that we've been working on for weeks--last day, I think. Now we do modern.

It's from the new Jack Nicholson/Diane Keaton movie--Something's Gotta Give, I think. He's not one of the stars, but I think he has a fairly substantial role. I believe that Jack is dating Diane's daughter, and has never dated a woman his age, and they fall in love or something. I don't know. Keanu does look pretty hot. Uhh, obviously ;)
