WOOOOOHOOOOOOO!!!

They came! They came! And late, too, so I only got here a little after they did! :D

I got exactly what I wanted :) A 5 on US history, and a 3 on physics :D :D :D Btw, 5 is the highest grade, and if you get a 3 or above, you're "qualified". Last year I got a 5 on European History (only one in my grade, actually--but we had a LOT of 4s). And Euro was a lot harder than US, but I worked waaay harder. So I was afraid I'd get a 4 on US, and it would just be sad to do worse on US than Euro, even though we did have a totally crap-ass teacher. Anyway, I didn't. And I'm extremely pleased!!

Am also so relieved about the physics, cos I knew very little of what was on that test! But apparently, I knew the stuff that we'd covered well enough :D I'm very proud of myself!! ::dances around::

Am so glad those arrived. lol.

So, we went to the mall. . . and we saw Fruits Basket DVDs!!! All of the episodes--6-7 episodes per thingie, with 4 thingies. Each thingie was $40, though. >.< Even with me and Katie splitting it, that's $80 each! They're a little less on Amazon.com, but for that you need to add shipping and handling. Hmmmm. . . thought. . . Perin was going to get us paradise too for our birthday, but since dad already got us a collection, maybe she'll help us with the Fruits Basket! I mean, we have them on the computer, but at the moment we can't access them. Plus, it'll be awesome to see them on TV, with the dub, and all. Plus, [livejournal.com profile] tiggspanther made a good point--now that it's being released for real, we should support them. I mean, I do want to save for ComicCon next year, but I really want these DVDs. ::sigh:: maybe we can get 2 of them now and then the other 2 at a later date or something. If Perin contributes 15-20 dollars, it's only about $30 each for me and Katie, and we just got birthday money. 100 dollars worth.
Hmmm. ::paces::

I didn't get a 5 on any of my AP tests. Two 3's and a 4 for me.

HA! I raked in a grande old 2. And you know what? I don't care. This wasn't a test I was psyched to take, nor was I expecting anything good to come out of it. Plus the 95 on the regents cushioned me. I think the AP courses I have for senior year are the ones I'm going to strive for- Psych in particular because if Kevin says he thinks the course was easy...I'm covered. But major congrats to you (not that I imagined you getting anything else :-}).

Uh, I have way overdue birthday gifts for you and Katie...when's a good time for me to deliver them/hang for a while?

lol. Well, go you on the regents!
And yeah, if Kevin says Pysch is easy, you should be fine. . . lol.

Hey, you know me--I never have plans. XD But if you like, when you deliver gifts we can redesign and mess with LJ and all--I can get a paid account tomorrow when my dad gets home, so any time after that. Am totally itching for more icons, but I wanted to wait to redesign. :)

:D thank you! I think that maybe the best part is how happy my parents are about it ^_^

Wow, that's weird. Over here, if you get a 5 that's a fail. XP I forsee 5s for my phoentics exams on Thursday... Eeeks.

But well done! :D

lol. . . grades are so strange--especially for these sort of standardized tests. In school, 65 is failing, 100 is perfect. But on the APs it's 1-5, and on the SATs and SAT IIs, 800 is perfect, and I think points come off in 10s. (like, you can only get a 670, not a 564.) All very bizarre.

Good luck on your exam! What exactly does phoentics cover?

It's a study of the exact pronoucniation of letters. We have to do transcription excercises; turning those weird letters you get in dictionaries into something that looks like human language, and vice-versa.

It might actually be quite interesting, if our teacher wasn't a complete (insert four letter word of choice here)....

ahhh. hmmm. Sounds complicated, no matter who teaches it.

But I can sympathize with having moronic teachers. It sucks. I'd imagine he's similar to my US history teacher. The creepy drooling pervert. Well, maybe he's horrible in non-perverted ways, but probably causes similar emotions in his students.
