I haven't been on livejournal in a while. Like, I've barely logged in since vacation ended. Things have been crazy. But good! (but I have no idea what's up with people. ::winces:: this sounds familiar. but I really haven't even been on)

On Wednesday. . . I saw Les Mis! AHHHHHHHH! I loved it! :) I laughed, I cried, it became a part of me! (particularly the last two.) It was fantastic. Fantastic! Extremely moving, it talked about stuff that was important to me, I liked the characters, I liked the songs. . . it was great. And it's closing! May 18! Augh!
My favorite characters are Enjolras, Gavroche, Eponine, and Jean Valjean. In that order, I think. I also loved the Bishop, but he had a scary wig.

on a related note, me and Katie were extremely amused to see Terrence Mann as Javert XD Bwahahaha! We first heard of him as the original Rum Tum Tugger on Broadway (in CATS) and then we saw him on Broadway on Broadway a couple years ago as Frank from Rocky Horror! Heh. So it was extremely strange to see him as the uptight policeman and me and Katie laughed whenever he was on--highly inappropriate ;)

It was a French field trip, so we also went to a French Restaurant. Sans-Culottes. Highly recommended. I had a good time and the food (I had beef. . . ack! can't spell the name. Superboy pronounces it "booger-yawn" in Young Justice: Sins of Youth, if anyone's read that, then you get to know what I have. XD) was delicious! Although I hear that the people who got the chicken weren't very pleased with it. Which makes me feel better cos I was coveting their mashed potatoes. The rice was fine though. Uhm. Oh yes--we bonded with our waiter. And when I say bonded, I mean harassed. His name was Laurent and he's from Paris. (this occured because we were sitting with our crazy French teacher from last year--and next. I love her though. She was just a bit much first period. >.<) I swear--the entire staff of that restaurant, except for maybe the cooks who we didn't see, were attractive young men! O_O There was a cute little short Italian guy with curly hair.

On Friday we had Academons--in R's room! Wooo hooo! ::dances around:: Friedman had to go to the airport to pick up his brother. So he wasn't there! :D Uhm. . . oh yeah (I've eaten a lot of pixie stix. I've finally figured out how to just pour them onto my tongue--far easier than licking it off my palm) (anyway, that's why my train of thought keeps derailing) So we had it in R's room, and she is absolutely the coolest ever, so it was a great deal of fun! And at 3:30 she said that everyone who had to catch the bus could leave, but if anyone was interested she could stay til 4. :) It was me, and Katie, and Aron, and Jamie, and Doug. Two sets of twins and Doug! lol. Uhm. So we started out answering questions, but instead of writing them down we just yelled out the answers. But then we started talking a lot between questions and eventually we just stopped and sat and talked. It was so much fun! craziness! :) We discussed teachers and other stuff. I had a fantastic time! (as well as a lot of candy then too. We'd gone to the store at lunch to get snack and bought ourselves stuff. My god. There's the best store next to our school! We went back to restock yesterday.) After that we went to Emily's and chilled and stuff.

Over the weekend, I slept! A lot. Whoa. I was awake at night, but I was hardly awake Saturday during the day. Sunday I went into the city with Katie and Dad and Perin in the morning. They had to go to B&H for their photo class, and then we went to brunch and this "Stage Door" diner place. We got home, and I went to sleep XD Then I woke up for a bit in the evening to do my homework and watch some programs on channel 21 or 13 with mom. I think today we were watching 21 ("25 top most influential people of color in history" or something --it was really neat. they had a panel of really, really smart people) and yesterday we were watching 13, cos there was a lot of fundraiing. It was cool anyway--first there was a program about Nat King Cole--yay!! :D Then there was a program about Dinah Shore, who I hadn't heard of but seemed really sweet. They had all these clips of her with different guests. Jack Lemon (does he spell it like that?) played the piano and they sang songs from Fred and Ginger movies! yay! And Ella Fitzgerald was on--my mom is a huge fan. And Groucho Marx was on! XD He was great.

I had a field trip today as well. And one next wednesday. Its kinda weird! Today we went to Adelphi University for some physical stuff with Sports Medicine. It was cool, but I'm not going to describe it because it's rather complicated and I'm lazy. But afterwards we went to Wendy's, which was fun. And then, even though there were 2 periods left when we got back, the teacher said we didn't have to go to them--so we went and chilled in the music office. :D wheee! I was particularly relieved because I didn't have my physics book. whew!

I've also, over the past week--well, not this week, but last week--I've been looking into the plot of the Ring. The horror movie? Originally Ringu in Japan, just got remade in America? That one. Mainly the Japanese version and the novels, because of the cool site I found. I don't have the address at the tips of my fingers but if you're interested just ask. I knew I'd be too afraid to go and see it, but the plot really intrigued me. So I looked into it and it is awesome, but I was right! lol. So I've been reading about that. I read the screenplay of the Japanese one, and I'm probably going to read some manga translations of the second novel, not the second movie (it's complicated). Uhm. Anyway, that's really awesome. Even though it's been creeping me out--without having even seen it! lol. But they're cool. And I feel special now, because even though I haven't seen the American one, I know more about the Japanese versions than most people in my school, even those who have seen the American ones. When Loop is translated into English I'll probably read it because it's cool and is more sci-fi than horror (third book, was never a movie)

Finally caught up with all the Terry Pratchett's mom brought home. yay! :) Now I'm back to finishing up the Fellowship. Finally in book two. I had to put it on hold.
