I haven't been at livejournal very much at all in the past few days because I really haven't been home much. >.< So I've kinda missed some entries--I'll try to catch up at some point today. On Wednesday we had an Academon's trip til 5:15. JV won though! I was captain ^_^ And on Thursday I didn't do anything, but I did watch Forever Young with my mom--it was very good! And Elijah Wood was really too cute as a little kid! Then yesterday we went to Perin's house! It was her sister's birthday. We didn't get back til 11, and then I went almost immediately to bed and read some Stardust ^_^ I'm rereading it. We also went to academons for a bit on friday. it was great because only Aron and Todd were there--not even Friedman was there XD So we just chilled til Friedman came and kicked us out. ::dances:: It was so much fun.

Anyway, I'll be home most of the time now because I'm on vacation!! Woo hooo! I whole week of beautiful freedom. :D

that's all I really wanted to say right now. I'm going to grab some Twix's and read more Stardust.

Elijah Wood still is cute. *leers* *ahem* Uhh... my favorite pre-LotR movie he was in is Huckleberry Finn. Have you seen it? Or read the book? Still a classic.

I've never been able to get into Stardust myself. I know, I know, much with the GNeil goodness, but somehow... Dunno. Is it really good? Should I give it another chance?

I've seen screencaps from Huckleberry Finn and I wanted to get it, but they didn't have it at the library. >.< With your recommendation, though, I'll have to see what I can do. ^_^ I actually haven't read either book though. Although I do believe they're lying around our house somewhere. I seem to remember Katie reading them.

Well, Stardust is pretty different from his other stuff. I think he said it was like, his one pure fairy tale kinda thing. And the illustrations are absolutely gorgeous. But yeah, I think it is really good. I am noticing that there are a couple bits that I just want to get through reading, this second or third time around, but I definitely think you should give it another chance.

Tom Sawyer is the easier read, more action-adventure-fun, while Huck Finn has harder language and is more action-scary-adventure-political, but both are good. If you ever do read them, I suggest reading Tom Sawyer first.

I'll give Stardust another try. *puts it on to-check-out list*

Have you seen 'North'? That has ultra-chibi Elijah in, which makes for some amusing moments. Like trying to encourage tourists to come to Hawaii by using a picture of a crocodile trying to pull his swimtrunks down. XD

ahh, I think I remember seeing screenshots of that :D
I've heard mixed reviews of North, so I was kinda toying with the idea of getting it (cute Elijah Wood would always win out though. Same thing with Encino Man. I'll watch almost anything to see Sean Astin) but I couldn't find it at the library anyway. >.< Hopefully it was just out. Same with Huck Finn. . . I'll have to look again. Oh! But I have other library resources! I forgot about the one in my town XD Because my mom's a librarian so I go to hers. (unfortunately, video tapes cannot be interloaned. ::grumbles::)

btw, I love that icon. And I've shown it to Katie and she loves it too :D
