root canal went beautifully :) Everyone was really nice--particularly the nurse. She did my x-rays and stuff, and we were talking for a little and she was sweet :) I liked her. And the doctor said I was a great patient (dentists have often said that about me.) Although everyone was having trouble because my mouth is so small. -_- In fact, the nurse said that I had a tiny mouth and that I shouldn't let anyone tell me I had a big mouth. lol. big mouth, no. extremely long-winded. . . yes.

Anyway, I'm thrilled to have that done. Although I need to go back in 2 weeks to get the job finished--fill up the hole and all, and until then I can't chew on that side of my mouth, so I'm still not at full eating capacity, but nonetheless. :D So very happy. (I shut my eyes and sang RENT in my head during the operation. It was fun! and he did a great job numbing me. it was all good. except for some preliminary nervousness and ouchie jabby things during X-ray, it was a fantastic experience. lol.)

I did really well on my sketchbook this week, too, which surprised me a little. ::shrug:: she does want me to ink it though. hmmm. not sure when I'll have a chance to do that, what with doing a new sketchbook for next week. (hopefully she'll give us til Wed with that one, since we have Tuesday off!)

on saturday we went to target, as I said in my previous entry ;) We didn't find Monsters Inc toys :( But I did find an eyepatch for my pirate costume!! :D w00t! See, my cousin Johnny, his girlfriend told us this joke a while ago. It went like this:"Have you heard about the new pirate movie? It's rated 'Arr!'." And then we got into this whole discussion of her saying said joke whenever she met new people and getting an eyepatch and stuff. So I'm going to be a pirate for halloween and see the new pirate movie ;)

Then we went to Perin's and played Polly Pockets!! It was soooo much fun--I love Polly Pocket (not the new ones though XP) and I've lost mine, and we mentioned them to Perin and she still had hers, so we went and played! I'd missed Polly. Then we scrambled eggs (with cheese!) which was good because this was pre-root canal and I could eat those. Then we watched bits of Thumbelina. We were looking for a song which wasn't there, so we kept fastforwarding and stuff. Then we watched a Disney Sing-A-Long and followed the directions ;) It was great. "Circle of Life" made me almost cry. That was interesting. I love singing along :) They had Circle of Life, Belle, Prince Ali, I Just Can't Wait to be King, Everybody Wants to be a Cat, and When You Wish Upon a Star. ^_^ I love Jiminy Cricket!!

Then, of course, we played Monkey Island.

Nothing interesting has been up since then, really. Did almost all of my phsyics homework. My hands are cold.

Glad to hear that your root canal went well. Polly Pockets... isn't it fun playing with toys from our childhoon?! I wish I still had my Keypers...

childhood toys are the best :) I think I'm going to have to dig up our trolls. Me and Katie had fantastic times with those! And our pound puppies. But the trolls. . . there were two particularly memorable ones. Ditto, and Ditto's friend. Usually, we give our trolls genders based on how they seem to us. But Ditto did seem to be really male, and nor did Ditto seem to be really female. So we said he was "neutral". I use the pronoun "he" though, because Ditto was more masculine than feminine. Ditto's friend was neutral too. And he didn't talk (he was mute, not just shy). And he, obviously, didn't really have a name. But he was shorter than Ditto and he had the same color hair so he was kind of Ditto's sidekick. Ditto's friend.

lol. random rant there. . .

Ditto, eh? I don't think I had a toy/doll/stuffed animal that had a consistant name throughout my entire childhood. I re-named everything for every different game, sometimes hourly. My favoritest doll (which I still have, of course -- she has pride of place on my book shelf) is about five inches tall. Her blue "dress" is really a Barbie shirt, her "boots" are the tips cut off of the pinkies of a pair of my mum's gloves and held on with rubber bands and all her accessories are made from bits of this and that. When she was sledding across the frozen tundra of an alien world she had a different name than when she was escaping from her jailers through a magical forest. She's really the only toy I have left from my childhood (the rest being either trashed by my stepmother or given to my niece). At the last two ComicCons I bought Glo-Worms to replace some of my childhood memories and right now I'm on a serious quest to find the same version of the Keyper and Helper team that was stolen from me in summer camp lo those many years ago. Ah, nostalgia!

that's cool :D me and katie always named our animals soon after we got them (including all the pound puppies) and the names always stayed the same until we forgot what they were. that happened fairly often, and we had repeats fairly often.

we have a lot of our toys in the attic, but I still have a bed full of my stuffed animals. I still have Huggabunch--she was my favorite doll (she was like a humanoid plush). I took her everywhere with me. Actually, she is a Huggabunch--her name is Huggins. But she had a hospital bracelet kinda thing on her wrist with her name on it, and it had both and I just decided to use Huggabunch or something. In around. . . 6th grade or so all my friends and I kinda simultaneously realized that she was creepy--her eyes followed you and stuff. I don't think they did that before. . . But I couldn't get rid of her, so she still chills in my bed.

when I read the comment you wrote, I saw "pinkies" and "cut off" and I thought you vut the pinkies off your doll! Making your own accessories rocks ;)

Me and Katie each had a glo-worm. They were the kind where you could move their hat to reveal different faces--an awake one and an asleep one.

you know, it just occurred to me how lucky I am. I mean, I already knew it, but the point was brought home to me. With Katie, I always had someone to play with. All my games could be interactive. Although I did play some by myself.
