I DIDN'T HAVE TO WORK THIS WEEKEND! Bow chicka wow wow! Oh, candidates. I love when you have minimal fundraising.

I have used this time wisely: watched 5 or 6 episodes of Heroes and read prodigious amounts of filthy Heroes fanfic. I LOVE having a new fandom so much. It's been way too long, because the fakenews fandom is different. It was good, but the shows work so differently, and it's all RPF and stuff. . . just felt different. And I think my last new fandom before that was Doctor Who and Torchwood, or something.

At first I didn't find him particularly attractive, but both Adrian Pasdar and Nathan Petrelli have grown on me. Nathan mostly in a physical sense, he's a bit of an ass. Speaking of which, part of the reason I may have started finding him hotter and hotter is that he has the grace to wear beautifully fitting three-piece suits, and has a magnificent ass. But Adrian not only has that ass, he also has a youtube channel full of fascinating and fun little short videos. At least half of them are of the Heroes cast. The other half are him and a friend sailing to Hawaii, I think. . . have not watched all of those. But yeah, a lot of them are the cast amusing themselves between scenes and stuff, they're really cute.

Anyway, to celebrate I'm going to do [livejournal.com profile] ayamachi's long Top Tens meme. Even though I'm terrible at figuring out what my favorites from things are. Consider this "Top Ten things that popped into Laura's head this morning"

Pictures that make you smile

(Hipster cat cracks me up. XDDD HE IS TOO GOOD FOR YOU, AND GOD DAMN HE IS GOING TO ENJOY STUFF IRONICALLY.)

(Not actually a macro but a screencap of the picture with its caption. Same diff!)

I have revealed my secret practice of screencapping points in dramas where the subtitles crack me up. It's kind of like the laziest way ever of making a macro.

Since beginning this entry, I walked around Alphabet City and found the Joe Strummer mural!! Had no clue where it was. AND I DIDN'T HAVE TO WORK LATE TODAY! OH MY GOD. And I am home well before Heroes starts at 8! And definitely well before Big Bang Theory starts at 9:30. XD

Adrian Pasdar update: I am still super lusty. Aforementioned ass can be viewed here (underneath pants, sadly).

And I didn't even mention Logn Ago and Far Away! Or Mr. Rogers! But to be fair you don't even need to, because who didn't watch Mr. Rogers?

Hmm, Ferris Bueller is kind of a guilty pleasure movie, in that I will just relax in front of it and stuff. Also I probably should feel guilty about the way I feel about Mia Sara. *_*

Sorry to barge in! I was nosing around the friends list of a friend and I have a weakness for reading memes! I was just wondering what show the 'You're not attractive' screencap is from?

Oh, and Rainbow Brite defined my childhood!

No worries, I love journal-surfing. That screencap is from Kuitan. Or actually I think Kuitan 2 (http://wiki.d-addicts.com/Kuitan#Season_2), because that's where Go's hair is long. XP My sister and I love Go but tend to call him a wizened gnome creature, so we were like "ah, Higashi. You speak the truth." Plus the contrast between the two of them is hilarious. It's a good show - although the first season is even better.

Rainbow Brite is so awesome! It's so magical and shiny. I love your icon. :D

I hadn't heard of that, but I might check it out now - thanks!

And I think my last new fandom before that was Doctor Who and Torchwood, or something.

:D

OMG. The fact that you listed that ALONG with Heroes [though admittedly, I never finished the second season] and Big Bang Theory [which I keep DVRing since I keep not being home to watch it DX] makes me SOOOO super duper happy.

Hahaha yaaaaay! :D One of the many perks about having a lot of fandoms is finding overlap. ^_^

I am told that after the first season Heroes kinda went down the pooper. I've enjoyed the started of the fourth season, though! Maybe because I don't have expectations, but still.

Nathan Petrelli was, like, the ONLY reason I stuck with Heroes as long as I did. Alas, the writers didn't seem able to think of anything good to do with him from season 2 on. Bah writers! You could've at least given him some more "flying around in nothing but a pair of pyjama pants" scenes!

*ahem* Anyway. ^_^

Yeah, I'm gearing myself up to just give up on the second and third seasons. Or possibly skim through for Nathan bits. Or I will just watch the pajama pants scene over and over. There are some really, really nice bodies on that show!

In addition to how much I just want to ogle him forever, I'm finding Nathan and Claire to be perhaps the most interesting characters. And Parkman. I think those are the storylines where I'm least likely to pause the video to do something else. XD
