Jeff Goldblum's appearances on the Colbert Report have been cracking me up like whoa. XDD Jeff Goldblum is one of those people with a sort of inherently funny pop culture position, somehow. Also my brother went as him for Halloween once and it was eerie. But I don't have the picture on this computer apparently. :( And I only have pictures of him with facial hair on LJ. Or at least awkward scruff.

Also both the Report and the Daily Show have scientist guests advertising NOVA-related programs! Delightful!

They were also both the only news-related programs that I tuned in for today that weren't talking about Michael Jackson! Well, not exactly. But seriously! Argh!

Food update! I think about nutrition a lot because before I lived alone and had to feed myself, I basically never cooked and sometimes I don't get hungry and I'm pretty skinny, so making sure I get what I need to into my belly is a concern. (Also I figure if I post about it, when I die a nutritionist can examine my diet and find out why I wasted away.)
Before 6:30 PM, I ate. . . half a muffin. D:
After 6:30 PM, I ate a plate of rice and stir fry with beef and lots of vegetables, an entire grapefruit, a bowl of ramen, a serving of asparagus cooked in rice, and then a mug of hot chocolate with a candy cane melted in it.

I need to spread out my eating more, seriously. Anyway, if the grapefruit and muffin were breakfast, the ramen and asparagus was lunch, and the stir fry was dinner, then I had three meals today! ::dances:: (wow, I don't know if I've ever used this mood icon before. It's a little freaky.)

Shuffleboard tomorrow! Yay! I'm happy to be socializing because everyone I know is away somewhere. Or something. Thank goodness for work. XD

Oh also I changed my sheets (long overdue) and did two loads of laundry! Clearly it was just, you know, having friends that was keeping me from getting stuff done. Current sheets: Sesame Street patterned. BLack rings around some of the characters' eyes: fucking frightening.

ALSO! Legal-sized paper and I are in a fight.

What size does paper need to be to be classed as illegal? I wonder.
Jeff Goldblum isn't only inherently funny because he is witty, but also because of his big bug eyes. I mean, both in the literal The Fly sense but also in that they stick out. He always makes me smile. He is also included in my list of people who can do no wrong...along with the rest of the Jurassic Park cast. I'm hideously biased, ofc.

14x17, if i had to guess. Shifty fellows.

Hahaha, oh, bug eyes. Jeff Goldblum. . . I'm just laughing. Although you know, I've barely seen him in anything! Which makes it even weirder! I've seen parts of Independence Day. I think that's it!

Oh, but the fact that he's joining Law & Order makes it even better because another person that randomly amuses me and delights me even though I'm not enough of a fan to watch them in things is Jerry Orbach. Mostly because of Dirty Dancing? And then it became a thing where my sister and I would rate people on a scale based on how Jerry Orbach-like they are. And I did stats of the heights, weights, ages, etc of guys in Johnnys and I included a column where I compared them all to Jerry Orbach. Only, like, one person commented on that. XD

Hahah, omg who rated highest?
And you've seriously never seen Jurassic Park?!

Oh man, I can't remember! I mean, he's a tall bastard, so whoever in JE is tallest was closest. Which was Taiyo, but now it's Nagase. In terms of overall Orbachitude, it's a pretty casual rating system, but I want to say Mabo?

So when Jerry Orbach died, he donated his eyes as well as his other organs, for eye transplant. And there used to be ads on the NYC subway about this, telling people to donate their eyes when they're done with them. So a friend of mine saw this, and knew I was all about the Orbach, so she called me all excited and left me the most bizarre voicemail I've ever received. She was cutting out slightly so it was all "Laura! Jerry Orbach. . . sign. . . Give someone the gift of sight. . . he's dead but his eyes are still here!" or something. Or something like "You might see someone with Jerry Orbach's eyes walking around!" and i was like like "WTF."

. . . I've never seen Jurrasic Park. D:

EHMYGAWD really? It's my...it's my most favouritist movie ever. You've totally gotta see it, especially if you like the Goldblum.

Taiyo...ahh, I remember Taiyo. I was really sad when he left. Sad and happy though, because he is probably in a real job now. Being useless and lanky and sweet.

That sounds like an awesome voicemail. Imagine if you got it on halloween or something. Not that Jerry Orbach would be a very scary ghost.

I'm sure I'll see it one day. . . I'm kind of a movie weenie. . . XD

Taiyo was just such an awkward explosion that I adored him. XD So towering! I was just looking through the files on my desktop and there was a picture of him holding a sign that says "COOL" and I'm like "Oh, Taiyo. Nice try." But yeah, I bet he's happier doing something else. Like, lifting stuff off high shelves for people! I bet there's a market for it.

Aww, ghost of Jerry Orbach. Obviously I'm hoping he's resting in peace but that would make an awesome movie. I guess it'd be pretty insensitive to his loved ones, though. Plus, who could play the part? Oh well.
