day 1: completed!!
Jun. 30th, 2008 11:44 pmFirst day of work: Okay! Didn't do much, met lots of people, so far everything went well and everyone was nice. I will be able to commute with my dad while I'm living at home (meaning, I can work 8:30-4:30), there is a lunchroom and a fridge. Will not be able to wear jeans even on Fridays. :( Must get more blouses - slightly more formal than the people I worked with at the DOB (who were no shlumps).
Ohno in Maou: surprisingly creepy, based on Ousama no Brunch preview thingie. Whoa. I heard about the drama when Katie was reading me segments from
enshinge's Recomen translations while I ironed yesterday - Toma was filling in for Hina. Normally I'd be sad about no Hina, much as I adore Toma and Toma on Recomen, but they used the opportunity to share Murakami Legends. Such as, "Yokoyama-kun was talking with the staff that Murakami-kun's is huge, and this is what Murakami-kun said: I've got three legs!"
Talk about Hina's penis=my favorite thing ever.
ANYWAY. They were discussing the drama cos Toma's all in it and I was like "NO WAY can Ohno do that part, what the hell???" and he was SO CREEPY actually.
Board meeting tomorrow. Third day of work at my first job ever I went to a big managing committee meeting and it was horrible. Hopefully tomorrow will not be like that.
Still nervous cos there's still a lot of unknowns and a lot of adjusting and settling in to do, but feeling much better.
