So guys, TOKIO might literally kill me. Well, maybe not, but my eating habits have been terrible lately! I think it's cos I'm not sleeping and my whole schedule's been irregular. I was in Boston with my family this weekend and I just wasn't really finishing meals and stuff. I'm really sleep deprived, though. XD Actually, I'm sort of dizzy. But tomorrow is the one day I don't have to get up at 8AM so I figure I'll catch up. Or just stay up late doing TOKIO things. I totally didn't even take a nap today. I don't know what's wrong with me. I am literally running on empty - no food, no sleep. Basically, I'm running on TOKIO. Writing a pimp post is hard and pressuring! But fun, and hopefully rewarding. ;)
I left the Sophian (Smith College newspaper where I do layout) early, though! Mwahahaha! This is why I stepped down as layout editor! Actually, I stepped down because they were changing my layouts after I left anyone, so I figured there was no need for me to feel obliged to stay til everything was finished. I feel a lot better and hopefully now I won't get so upset when none of my work is in the paper.
Two midterms today. Well, one in class, and then I handed in the math take-home. Which was gorgeous, by the way. I don't know, I get excited when I copy over my math work and it's all nice and neat and I think I've done a good job on it. :) I know, I know, I'm a huge dork. Well, my handwriting is crappy, so I don't get to think my work looks nice, normally. Actually, when I print out a paper with footnotes, and I cite like a fiend so there's always lots of them, I think it looks professional and shiny and sometimes I stare at it a little. XD
So, Boston this past weekend, with Katie, yaaaaay! And also Mom and Dad and Mike, yaaaaay! Wow, 5 a's both times. Anyway, we went to the Mapparium, which is a three story tall stained glass globe that you get to stand inside, it's pretty awesome. And it was at. . . the Christian Science Center! O.o It's weird. Christian Science and its center. But they had a museum, I guess to teach the visitors about how great it is, but what happened is that they had lots of little rooms, with windows in between them, and we were the only people there so. . . we ended up just climbing through the windows and goofing off a lot. Sorry, Christian Scientists!
And we visited Mike at the country club where he works. Country clubs in Massuchusetts: most white places ever? I think so. We actually just drove around in golf carts, though. SO AWESOME!!! Seriously, I had such a good time. Mike (who is my older brother, btw) took us around the golf course, which is really pretty. And slightly elevated, so all this beautiful fall foliage was spread out around us. (remember, I'm from Long Island. We don't do. . . "beautiful.") And it was a lovely, crisp fall day and Mike drives a golf cart like a demon, so the wind was all in our hair and it was so much fun!
What else? Mom, Dad, and Katie came back to Smith with me and bought me fruit snacks and a really nice, soft gray wrap-around sweater (I don't know the correct terminology, I rely on Katie to choose nice clothes for me) that I love. And in general Katie and I stayed up super-late watching Johnny's. Of course. Actually, I'm introducing her to NEWS, so that was a change. But then she was all "OK, I like NEWS well enough, but can we watch some TOKIO or Kanjani8? I need loud wacky hijinks."
And we have the best pamphlet in the bathroom. The "health reps" put envelopes in the stalls filled with all these different pamphlets about vaginal health and HPV and how to tell your friend they're an alcohol and, awesomely, something that's about safe and healthy sex for "Lesbians, Bisexuals, and All Women Who Have Sex With Women." (could you tell Smith is an all-women's college? Northampton, the town it's in, is the lesbian capital of America!) But my absolute favorite pamphlet is this one: ( it's small-ish, but I'm considerate like that )
Too tired to figure out if I've done anything else worth sharing. Apart from work on my TOKIO pimp post forever. I sorted all the TOKIO videos I could find on youtube into playlists. O_O It took me all afternoon. XD This will be the only time I'm thankful there are so few TOKIO videos out there. But yeah. I want to really do a good job with this! It's funny, cos with TOKIO there's so little material, and it's so hard to find, I feel like I should link to it all - whereas if there was lots of material, I could just link to the best stuff and I'd feel OK about it. But there's still too much to link to. But I'm attached to everything! XD Ahh, good times.
I also had a good time at the JE Love Meme. I was thinking, people keep hate inside, and they really want to get it out when given the chance, whereas there are loads of opportunities to talk about what you love in JE fandom. But it was still fun and felt nice to pause and think about all the endearing, silly little things that I enjoy.
edit: why are almost all the paragraphs in this entry the same size? spooky.
