I just killed such a big bug. oooooh ick ick ick ick. So gross. I have really long fingers and it was probably a little smaller than my thumb. I'm just sitting on my bed, and I notice a black spot moving across my ceiling and it's a huge bug. From the roach family, I guess. It had huge long feelers. And it was moving across my wall, near the ceiling, but heading towards my bed and I knew I wouldn't be able to sleep til I killed it. And I wanted to get my dad to take care of it but we're heading up to brandeis to move katie in tomorrow so he'll have a lot of driving to do and i really didn't want to wake him up so I had to do it myself. But looking at it, it was too gross. So I turned on the light in the hall and turned off my light - that was mostly just cos that's what I do when there's a bug in my room, because it's usually a moth, but roaches don't really go towards light. . . But I did realize that if it was dark I might be able to bring myself to squish it so I got my hardcover copy of Little Women and smushed it and then I dropped the book behind my bed which is too bad cos it's a nice book and it's bent but I can't bring myself to touch it, I'm going to get someone else to do that. A lot of the guts are left on my wall anyway. Which is. . . unpleasant!! But at least it's dead.
Ahhh, i had my crawlspace open. . . i wonder if it came out of there. That sucks cos i need to crawl all the way into that to get out my stuff for school soon. Awww, man.
Ew ew ew. I don't want to go to sleep now! :(
Another bug-related adventure in the life of Laura. Brought to you by the makers of: giant moth in my room in Manchester where the door doesn't stay open and is so heavy I had to put my printer and three bottles of soda in front of it and then bring my laptop to the bathroom with me while i lured it out; and yellow jacket in Corey and my room at Smith that we had to put on protective gear and spray with bug spray and then squish with a broom handle.
