good times at the student bank

Hey gang. Just taking a minute to appreciate the simple things in life. Like being at work and having nothing to do, and being able to muck around on the computer. Since it's Thursday, I don't really have any schoolwork to do. I mean, I have stuff I should be doing--I just got given a take-home midterm that's due on Tuesday, and if I had remembered I could have brought something to get started on reading for Monday. But I didn't. And I'm quite sleep deprived from staying up until 2AM watching the unbelievably funny commentary by Joss Whedon and Nathan Fillion for the two-part first episode of Firefly. It was that late because Borscht visited me at 12:20 last night! Very exciting--usually she goes to sleep at about 10:30 or 11, so it was pretty awesome to see her that late. She stopped by because she knew I'd be a) up and b) excited to see her up so late ;) She had also been working on a soul-destroying paper. So we started talking about our elementary schools, because we'd been talking about the pox, and that led to a discussion of lunch boxes, and that led to a discussion of elementary school lunches, and that led to elementary school playgrounds, and then elementary school games. I had some pretty awesome ones--I told her about the Farm Game in detail. So then I showed her the entry I did a little while back that I'm not going to link to because I don't like to have too many windows open on the work computers, this one is so crappy that it spazzes out. But anyway, I showed her the entry where I posted excerpts from my third grade journal, and she was very amused :)

So anyway. Back to my point--I'm so sleep-deprived that I probably wouldn't be able to be productive anyway, so I'm just taking the morning off. And reading Firefly fanfiction and playing neopets games instead. :)

I'm also eating girl scout cookies, cos our supervisor at the bank bought us a whole bunch! So awesome! I've developed an appreciation for Trefoils, the shortbread cookies.

And I'm eating Kix cereal, which is like rediscovering my youth. It's really tasty! I've been filling little wax to-go bags at the dining hall with Kix and eating it constantly the last couple days.

And I have a travel much full of juice--orange juice and cranberry juice mixed together. A friend introduced me to the combination earlier this year, and I love it! Not only does it turn a lovely color, it tastes great.

And I'm listening to the Beatles quietly on my iPod.

So I've got good food, good entertainment, and good music. ^_^ I feel good. Or, as the song I'm currently listening to says, "I feel fine." XD


I'm ignoring the cover letter I need to write, this take-home, the reading, and the fact that my room is a total mess! XD It'll all be fine.

Also, we have new showerheads that just work absolutely amazingly. It's great. Oh man. It's like being at home. I'm really excited.

And, as if there weren't enough good things already, Saturday is supposed to be a beautiful sunny day! :)
