Hello. [livejournal.com profile] cloudtrader gave me an idea. For my summer reading, I must read The Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison and In A Different Voice by Carol Gilligan. But for the other two books, I have a list of authors to choose from. So I was thinking I would post the list of authors here, and you guys can see if there are any books by them that you would recommend. Keep in mind that this is summer reading. lol. Hmm, maybe I'll post this in the bookreports community, too.

here's the list )

So if any of those authors have written something that you like, maybe something that's not too much of a downer, I would love to hear about it.

Dad has fixed the real computer, I'm on the laptop now. . . so I'm going to go over and see how that's doing. It's much better than this one, although I am kinda getting back to full typing speed. I feel so disoriented, though. I was in the middle of doing all sorts of things and then suddenly it freezes. ::sigh:: Now my equilibrium for the day is thrown. I feel pretty industrious though, what with posting this and being all caught up on livejournal. Sometime soon I'll post about Hellboy. . . cloudie made me realize that I haven't told you guys about my Hellboy obsession and I have no idea how that happened because I love Hellboy! As anyone who's spoken to me on AIM can see, actually. And I want to tell you guys about the Einstein plushie and some teacher things on the last day of school and all, that I think I forgot to mention.

I'm not actually busy, but I feel busy. Hence my mood. Just in case you were wondering.
Oh, and I did all the things on my list: I showered and changed my sheets, and I did some cleaning up in my room. I took care of clean and dirty clothes that had been lying around. I plan to do more today. I'm not sure what, though. I want to do all the things that it would be silly for me to be doing when emily ([livejournal.com profile] d3c3p7i0n) is here. I'm hoping that since she's so neat and industrious, she can help me organize and keep me motivated and help me get stuff put away.

update:AGH!! I'm back on the computer, and it seems to be working ok except. . . AAAGH! My favorites are gone! O_O I had like, hundreds of pages bookmarked. . . oh my god. I really hope that dad can get my favorites back. . . although i'm not sure how he'd do that. . . but geez. Not cool!

Hey, did you know you can edit entries posted in communities now? Rocking! :D

update #2: ::deep sigh:: well, it's been a stressful few minutes. Me and Dad managed to save any favorites that we had before May 3. Not too bad, just a month's worth. I can't remember if there was anything before all the X-men stuff. It's a shame though, I've been marking x-men pages like crazy! So now I have to redo all my careful research, which is a pain in the butt. Another project is to clean out my favorites list, because it's out of control. I mean, I have ridiculous things marked, and stuff I never use, and then I can't find stuff that I need to. So I'm going to go through the pages and get rid of, say, all the sites about Ibuprofen that I marked for my chem report last year. But first, I need to find all my x-men pages again. Argh. I did so many different searches on google, and I've been to so many sites recently! Ah well. It could be sooo much worse! We saved a lot! I'm very relieved.
