Strangers in Paradise talk

fantastic day in the city. will almost definitely write it up tomorrow. Right now, I just wanted to write about the most important event of the day :)

We bought 3 Strangers in Paradise trades, and issue #50. I only need four more issues--I only need Brave New World. I got Immortal Enemies, Child of Rage, and (because I couldn't resist) Tropic of Desire.

And I just read them all. Wow. Wow. . .

( don't click if you haven't read them and plan to. . . I don't think I really give anything away, but it's still better that you don't )

I should really go to sleep. I'm so. . . worked up though. And I'm not as tired as expected.

oops. I slept all day. Well, by the time I got to sleep last night I could see the sky getting lighter. I woke up at 11, and then was up for a bit, and then ended up taking another nap til 4:30 (I don't know when I fell asleep). So that's why I'm being lazy with commenting on friend's post ;)

Well, I've had my LJ for 1 year today.
In one year:
-403 entries. fun and often helpful for me to write.
-11 communities, that helped me to meet people :)
-about 250 different icons made. O_O (not used, I still have a whole bunch I haven't used yet)
-about 15 different layouts.
-2,905 comments posted in other's journals. XD I've been busy! Well, your entries are all so interesting, how can I resist?

and, last but not least. . .
-30 wonderful friends.

I'm not as obsessed with LJ as some people are. It seems like I am, but I'm not. (really!) I'm not a member of dozens of communities, I don't do support, I can't do customizations, I don't have hundreds of people on my friends list (augh! I couldn't handle it). There's nothing whatsoever wrong with any of these, it's just not me.
What I am obsessed with is my friends. You guys are great. I've really grown up a lot this past year, I think, and I also think that a lot of credit goes to you guys. Through your intelligent comments and entries, and your support and niceness. It's really helped me. I see the world differently, I think. So, you know. Thank you :D

You guys have also helped to wean me off of surveys, and kind of quizzes. (I still like to take them, but I post them less. Again, nothing wrong with that, just not me).

So, again, thanks :) Thanks for your comments, thanks for your entries, thanks for putting up with me and my insecurities, which I'm sure are annoying and I should try to get rid of. ;) But then again, I'm conceited enough already. O.o Now I'm confused! :D

All right. I'll shush now. If I think of anything else. . . well, I'll try to keep it to myself ;)
