Strangers in Paradise talk
Aug. 20th, 2002 05:03 amfantastic day in the city. will almost definitely write it up tomorrow. Right now, I just wanted to write about the most important event of the day :)
We bought 3 Strangers in Paradise trades, and issue #50. I only need four more issues--I only need Brave New World. I got Immortal Enemies, Child of Rage, and (because I couldn't resist) Tropic of Desire.
And I just read them all. Wow. Wow. . .
brief things:
-Ashley is gorgeous.
- like to think that someday that will happen--maybe not the way they say it (I'm not sure what my theories are on his time-travel) but that some day they will end up happily ever after.
-I like Mary Beth, which is rather strange.
-I love Francine. And I wish she could stop causing herself problems. It was weird. . . once Katchoo was out and all, everyone's role changed. I need to reread them. And I'm so tempted to get Bright New World. And I want to subscribe, because they're tricky to find in stores.
-I love Katchoo and David, which is a little new. Or I love them more, or differently. Katchoo, certainly. David keeps striking me with how adorable and sexy he is, but the whole Yousaka thing is scaring me.
-I feel awful about the reporter. augh.
-you know, I really like Mary Beth (I'm using that name in case someone peeks!)
-end of version 1? whoa. . .
-you know how I said when I was reading Sanctuary I'd just sit back and laugh cos it was so good? Well, during this set I'd sit back and take deep breaths, because it was so intense.
I should really go to sleep. I'm so. . . worked up though. And I'm not as tired as expected.
