Rules:
* Grab the book closest to you. Now.
* Go to page 56.
* Find the 5th sentence.
* Write that sentence as your subject field.
* Copy these instructions as an entry to the post.
* Don't go looking for your favourite book, or the coolest one you have, just grab the closest one.

James Herriot is just too long to fit. See first line of entry. I like the sentence a lot, though! Also, out of curiosity, I checked all the books within reach. 1 was my tiny, humorous Canada book, and it doesn't really have paragraphs or anything. In the other three, page 56 was the last page of a chapter. Seriously, that's kind of weird.

Other meme, things that made me happy (I always cheat and make it plural. Well, why not?)
1) Doing Business Database completely in effect as of today! Land use and real property contributions made from this day forth are subject to the doing business contribution limit! ::dances::

2) I Did It For Science blog. So hilarious!!

3) Potentially bad situation went fairly smoothly, I think!

New list! Things to do tonight!
1) Wash dishes.
2) Bathe.
3) Work on chops.
4) Rock out with my cock out.

Possibly not in that order.

Aw, I was going to do it too, but mine is lame:
"Despite the width of the streets, they did not seem to be designed for horses or wagons." >__>

Chops! \:D/

Fantasy. It's what I like to read, when I have the time. I haven't done much reading lately. The most I got in this entire year was probably during all the flights I had this summer. :(

lol I have an idea..lemme grab the other two books within reach. XD *hops off chair*

Me too! Actually basically just classic children's literature in general, for the most part, with a fairly strong inclination towards fantasy. I don't read enough either, though. Lately I get some reading done on the subway but I've also really perfected sleeping on the subway in both directions, so I tend to do that more. :( Still, I just started rereading The Neverending Story and it makes me happy.

XD It got really fun comparing all the different books i had about. I did stop short of going through my bookshelf cos I thought that way lay too many lost hours.

Hahahaa! Awesome. XD And adorable!

I've got a comic book within reach that has 56 pages, but the 5th sentence is sort of odd: "He didn't know it, but along the way he fathered a couple of kids, Jenny Hayden and Todd Rice, both raised by adoptive parents."

I haven't actually finished reading the first volume yet (kansai-ben in comic form is haaard O.O), but I can't wait for that Neoki Dokkiri part. XD

..That IS an odd sentence.

*happily avoiding a research paper to reread old favorite fics*

Hey, I'm totally reading James Herriot at the moment at work! :D All of them, in order! XD (It gets QUIET. It's easy enough to hide in a corner by a heater with a book. For several hours. ¬_¬)

Aww, yay! XD I was reading the one I quote (I think Lord God Made Them All) as my subway book and when I finished it I wanted to reread the others, too, but I only had chunky hardcovers and they suck to carry to and from work all the time.

Uuuugh, also, quiet workdays suck. I have have had a minimum of work to do for the past, like, month. >.< Which is why I keep writing long LJ entries from work.
