Mini Nagase picspam! Again, mostly a capspam. And mostly from PVs and making ofs because that's what I have uploaded. Especially from the PVs that I did upload.

I'm posting a lot lately. I feel like posting capspams, for some reason! And am bored and antsy of late. You guys should post more, or something. :D Or write me more Okada/Nino fic.

Anyway, a little capspam of Nagase Through the Years, to celebrate his 30th birthday - what is it, 25th birthday? Something like that? Yeah. Eight years older than me. D:

Kono Yubi Tomare. :D Another FANTASTIC PV. Although for real this time, not just in the sketchy awesome way of Magic Channel. Although I'm never really sure where I should end one word and start the next. I have konoyubi somewhere but I suspect it might be ko no yubi. Ko No Yu Bi? That's just out of control. . .

OK, so I posted two of these in my other recent capspam, but this is a different cap! Really! Also, yeah, I'm being not THAT restrained. As these things go. I guess.

I realized I have basically no pictures from 2000-2002. A heavily blond phase of Nagase's life. Much of my capping is hair-influenced. Actually, Katie and I are working on a massive cataloguing of Nagase's hair. We're up to Hana Uta, PV-wise, but then we're probably going to try to fill in with magazine shoots and maybe some concerts.

Skipping to the end of 2002 and the ding-dong PV making. Hm. I. . . when did he grow his hair back out for Mukodono? MOST QUEER, because he still had this hair in October of 2003 for Ambitious Japan. I guess he quickly grew it out and then cut it again? Anyway, I'm leaving this one after the Mukodono one because I want to.


Love You Only 2004. ::coos:: Nagase looked great in that but I don't have any exceptional caps of him. He's come so far!

I'm really not the biggest fan you'll find of Nagase with curly hair, but he looked incredible in Mr. Traveling Man.

I knooooooooow this is old but I don't think I haven't anything post-Traveling Man that's worthy of wrapping this up. And I love Traveling Man Nagase. ::gropegrope:: Plus he got fat soon! If I had a do! do! do! cap I would use it.

So, woo. You can go to the starter kit for more, although I hope I don't have to pimp that to you guys. XD

How has Nagase managed to have such gorgeous hair sometimes and such hideously awful hair other times? (Oh, wait, he's in JE. It's pretty much required that every Johnny's go through a couple of hideous hair phases.)

I don't know if I can think of anyone in JE who's had a greater gap between their best and worst hair. Of course, not everyone loves the shiny, silky 90s hair. . . but I do. XD He was cute saying his Mukodono hair was lame on HEY!x3 ^_^

Even Okada's had some bad, mullety hair, and Ryo is usually pretty reliable but then he goes blond and sickly! Who else has had a fairly positive balance? Yamaguchi does well more than he does badly but I don't like it lately. Sakamoto's had mostly acceptable hair and Nagano never changes his - nor does Massu, that I can think of. I can let Aiba get away with a lot, too. . . And Mabo I just feel that he owns almost whatever he does. Except the huge gray crazy.

Well...it's debatable since everyone has different opinions on what's good and bad hair, but I can definitely agree that Nagase's had some really lovely hair and some really awful hair, as opposed to just mostly decent like Nagano or Massu and other people who never do much.

Okada's from what I've seen had good hair more often than most, but he did have some bad phases. Same with Ryo. (Remember the lion hair?) I really don't like Mabo's hair a lot of the time, but I will give him credit for pulling off...most styles. But then there are things like Yamapi's alien poodle hair or the "I've bleached my hair so dry it's about to catch fire" look a lot of people get, so I guess it's all relative. But very nearly everyone's gone through at least one bad phase, as far as I know, and usually more than that.

Yeah. . . I pretty much meant for it to be debatable. I love thinking about pointless stuff like whose had the biggest hair gap.

I don't pay that close attention to the younger groups but my current theory is that Yamapi and Jin teamed up to see how many young men they could trick into getting ridiculous poodle hair and large, unflattering glasses. You know, like, Kimutaku style but more evil and less sexy.

I think Ohno's pretty good with hair, most of the time. He had this one absolutely ugly look in 2003-ish (? I think), when it was too short and too red, which very likely was when he cut his hair himself for the first time and wasn't all that good at it yet (I only realized recently that he first mentioned cutting his own hair in 2004, and then mentioned it again recently, which, given his style, rather heavily implies that he's been cutting his own hair in the four years in between as well), but apart from that his hair doesn't really change much, so he doesn't really incite the "OH GOD NO!" knee-jerk response that most other JE guys do at some points in their careers...^^"

Also, I'm not a big NEWS fan, but even I noticed that Massu has totally been looking the same since their debut, which is rather freaky, considering that he was just sixteen, or so, at that time. O.o


And I'm still waiting for Mabo to go colourful. I can't understand why he hasn't had blue hair with orange-red highlights yet.

Ohno never goes too crazy (I can't blame him for the hair he had as Riff, I guess!) but I don't know. . . he's really owning the short hair thing that he did for so long, but I don't think it was the most flattering hairstyle he could have had, so in that sense. . . I guess I feel like I got used to it more than liking it? You know what hair I did NOT like? This one! I just love the shiny floppy hair little pouty Ohno had at their debut so much, I kinda miss it.

Yeah. . . I seem to be in a period of disinterested good will toward Massu, even as my interest in NEWS hits an all time low. Anyway, I don't know what he's like now but yeah - he really does seem totally unchanging! THere's been some variation in hair length but that's about it?

Oh man, now I want Mabo to go for crazy colors so bad!

Yeah, Ohno's hair is not the best ever (though I actually like his spiky-haired look than his long-ish Maou style), but at least he's consistent and, while he doesn't hit the heights of good looks with it, at least doesn't hit the lows either...^^"

Though, actually, the cutting-it-himself thing makes me love his hair just SO much more, because honestly, just how many celebrities do you know who cut their hair themselves? It's really one of the things that make him so special. ^-^

That's not a good style for Ohno. v-v" Though I think that actually wasn't his own idea; because his hair hadn't essentially changed, it was still short and kind of spiky - it's just that the stylist(s) seem to have decided that they should make a girly!spiky look out of it. ^^" (I didn't like the totally blond hair either, but I don't think it counts, since it was for his stage-play. But apart from that, it's fine.)


I don't know much about NEWS either, but Massu seems to be kind of nice. ^-^ I like his unexpectedly dark voice!


Mabo would, of course, OWN the crazy colours.

...At least until the rest of TOKIO decided that they wanted to see what happened if they threw all the colours together and coloured his hair a murky brown-ish green. ^^"

The Sakuraba hair, the crazy hair in that one PV, and the Get Your Dream hair, I'm not crazy about. And recently it's gotten out of control but. . . so has everything. Apart from that, yeah. *_*

Awww, I'd love to see PV makings subbed. I totally see where you're coming from, though. In fact, there are probably a lot of cases where I understand more of what they're saying watching the subs than I would if I could understand the language, because my hearing just seems kinda crappy.

I think he will forever hold the title of "greatest natural laugh-attack on TV by a JE guy" for me. ^-^ I totally love that one time when he's on Domoto Kyoudai and actually starts laughing so hard at something that he's doubled over and unable to breath. XD
(He actually even beats Ohno in that respect, who's a close second place with his adorable shrill little laugh in DnA when they rode that Flying Carpet thing with Meguro-san, and Sho, who's the third with his laugh attacks at his bandmates' stupidity. ^-^)


And so Nagase's a year older now! Not that being in his thirties will have ANY influence on his behaviour, of course. XD

I think Nagase is always so cute with KK - his appearances with them just drive me slightly crazy cos I think he always comes across so much better than they do!! That laugh-attack is so charming and adorable. :D

Haha, yes, that's one thing we can count on TOKIO for - they may get old, but they never get mature! Actually, JE groups in general don't really do that. . . Mabo is a bit mature, if necessary. Sakamoto is mature. Jun tries to be mature and Sho tries not to be mature. ^_^ For the most part, they're such big kids!

I kinda can't wait for Leader to turn 40. I need to make sure that if I'm not still in the fandom, I pop back in to celebrate that one. XD I've never heard any radio show CDs, though!! Want! That's adorable. XD
