So, it turns out Sept 11 is a really intense day to be in lower Manhattan. I actually work a stone's throw away from Ground Zero so, yeah, kinda fierce. I'm going to assume that's why the subways were running weird - expresses running local, and there was something up with either the D or the B. The R was its usual little trundling self, though!

Anyway, when I emerged it all made sense because there are cops EVERYWHERE and all the bells in Trinity Church are ringing and traffic is being diverted and stuff. To be honest, I'd pretty much forgotten. We got an email a few days ago about events that are occurring that we can take part in, but beyond that I hadn't thought about the date.

Now that some time has passed and it's not being used as an excuse for war and hate, I do feel more unconflictedly sad about the whole thing. I feel able to just be upset without any weird politics being attached. Mostly, though, it just feels strange to be so close to the thick of things. Since I started working for the city, I've been in Massachusetts by this time. Now I'm less than 5 minutes walk from the WTC. Just. . . weird.

Also, my brother is flying today. He's going to England for my cousin's wedding, which is awesome. But it's a little scary.

And I'm planning to go to the San Janiero Feast in Little Italy with dad and Katie today. >.> A bit weird that those are my plans, but. . . Feast! Then Katie's going to come over and spend the night and we will peruse her Vibes CD and watch the Making Of Ama Gasa and stuff.

And I will not play World of Warcraft while she's over. Cos that would be rude. ::fingers twitch:: Yeah, I got myself addicted (or SOMEONE ELSE got me addicted!!). But I'm just on the 10-day free trial so I can't get permanently addicted. Maybe. I'm a level 6 dwarf right now. I played for about 2 and a half hours last night? It's really, really fun. I love Warcraft II, and I love Diablo I, so it makes sense, but I was worried that it would just be difficult and stressful, like Diablo II. But no, it's like a cross between Warcraft and Diablo and it is awesome. Also, I gave my dwarf Hellboy hair. But a Gimli beard. He was wearing a dress for a while but he traded up for some chain mail and stylish blue pants.

Then this weekend, on Friday I plan to clean the bathroom, on Saturday I plan to go to Katie's place for Omurice. :D :D :D :D And on Sunday I plan to not leave my apartment at all, or at the very least no get on the subway. Just sleep, relax, clean my room a bit, maybe make scrambled eggs or something. I've been wanting to try adding a little soy sauce (Y2K style oh my god I must steal that little girl. And Mabo.) and some fish flakes to my eggs.

The other awesome thing in my life right now is Yamaguchi's Oshareism appearance, subbed by [livejournal.com profile] ohmiya_sg and [livejournal.com profile] enshinge. XD I am still reeling about what an awesome, entertaining interview it is. ::cuddles Yamaguchi forever::

Me too until I got out of the subway at Trinity Church. I was like "Sept 11, hey, days are getting colder!" to the extent that I thought about the date.

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO APPARENTLY YOU CAN MAKE A SINGLE PAYMENT AND BUY A LIMITED NUMBER OF DAYS WITHOUT SUBSCRIBING.

I drew a dwarf in the margin of my pad while my boss was on the phone.

Can you change the name of a character after it's created?

Don't think so! You have to make a new one.

..you act as though I know what I'm doing.

Is it bad that I've rewatched my own project at least twice now, maybe more? :/

Hehehe...I used to play Diablo II, and then it got all...mainstreamed with the cheating and hacks. Not as fun.

Heck, a good interview is a good interview - Yamaguchi talking about stripping down is irresistible! I've watched it. . . actually, I've lost count. 4 or 5 times? XD

Diablo II was just too hard for me. XD I'm so lame like that - I would have wanted the cheats! D: What's good about Diablo I is that you can control the pace you go at - play the easy levels over a few times before you move on, sort of thing. For better players it lacks replayability, i guess, if you don't want to go backwards and do the easy levels again? But I love taking things out with way too fierce weapons and stuff. XD
