Funny things have been happening this weekend, and I can't remember what some of them were.
So first, awesomeness - Katie crocheted me little TOKIO dolls!! :D THEY'RE AMAZING!! I don't have any pictures of them yet because Taichi needs a cardigan so we were going to wait til they were totally done, but this picture of the Gimli doll she made should show you what they're like. (The LOTR dolls are all amazing - here's Sam and Merry.) Of course, the LOTR babies were easier cos they have one costume and one hairstyle, so we just sort of had to find outfits that suited them. She's making V6 next, and they're going to all wear variations on one of their Jasmine costumes - cute brightly colored shirts and dark pants. ::bouncebounce::
Having the TOKIO dolls is amazing! We watched the 10th Anniversary Concert, which I adore way too much, and I was finally able to squeeze them when I wanted to!! :D Like when Taichi cried, I got to give tiny!Taichi snuggles!
Also, episode 7 of Kuitan was AWESOME! I found episode 6 a big let-down, the plot was really weak and lame. SO I was very happy that episode 7 was so fantastic.
Yes, this is what we spent the fourth of July weekend doing. Our parents went to help our brother move, so we stayed at home with grandpa. It was great! I really needed to relax. We also created a new hobby of (somewhat sloppily) drawing muttonchops onto pictures of JE boys. . . I have an icon of the results of this but I really wanted to use my new Makoto Nagano icon. :D Aaaaaand we also got into a whole discussion of Jun touching people with his penis. It started with us not understanding why he was a heartthrob, because we both love him and find him adorable, but why is he so popular and why is he considered sexy? Katie and I both agree that we would not let him touch us with his penis. And that became a whole discussion about Jun running around, trying to touch people with his penis. ::pokepoke::
I also decided I really want to see a 3000 steps with Levi Meeuwenberg, free-runner and very impressive Ninja Warrior competitor.
Oh man, I just realized my birthday is two days after our first 20-day turnaround time for analyzing financial disclosure statements for doing business reports begins. XD This one shouldn't be too bad in some ways, because we have 20 days, but as the first one that's more than 4 people (WAY MORE) a lot of problems could crop up. Also I'm not fully trained yet. XD But I've got a little more time!
Also, does anyone know why I've suddenly started getting a bunch of comments on the TOKIO pimp post lately? It's awesome and always makes me really really happy, except a lot of the youtube links no longer work and it's really embarrassing. I gave some thought to putting them on Megavideo but now I was thinking I'd just wimp out and write a "if the youtube link doesn't work, I'm sorry, just ask me for the video if you really want it cos i've probably got it."

I admit I do find Jun sexy, but that's mainly brought about by his Doumyouji persona. Yes Doumyouji is a total bastard, but sometimes he has some very smouldering looks. *_* ...Just as long as he keeps his teeth out of view.
I'm glad lots of people are seeking out TOKIO stuff atm! There's been an avalanche of stuff lately, so maybe people are having their appetites whetted and seeking out more. Also, the 10th anniversary con is amazing! I need to watch that again. :D There could totally be a market for crocheted TOKIO dolls, too. ^_~

Date: 2008-07-06 01:24 pm (UTC)I find Jun sexy as Shin - so I guess I've found him sexy but it's only when he's in character. It's pretty confusing, actually! In real life I find his appearance. . . not good (and his skin!! D:) but somehow if he's in character as Shin I'm on board. Even in TV appearances from when he was filming Gokusen, it doesn't work for me! Maybe Jun has some type of weird power over people that broadcasts on a different wavelength when he's acting or being normal, so different people pick up on it at different times! Yes, that must be it.
I was thinking the TOKIO boom possibly had something to do with Yasuko to Kenji - maybe some Kanjani8 fans are like "Who is this sexy Mabo fellow?" ^_^ But yeah, whatever it is, it's exciting! I'm super-excited about the new single, too! And the show! Yaaaaay, I love when it's a good time to be a TOKIO fan!

I wondered if it had something to do with Yasuko to Kenji too! After Countdown there was the sort of realisation amongst K8 fans that they're the natural successor to TOKIO, and I think there's a very definite awareness of them cos the guys talk about them and appear with them so regularly! K8 + TOKIO is a world-beating combination! Looking forward to Dash with Yoko and Yasu hunting Nagase! :D

Of course, they're my fave sempai group with my fave kouhai group, so it makes sense, but I also find the dynamic hilarious. There's so much contrast! Little Arashi running around being gay and tiny and cheeky, TOKIO running around being big and manly and doofy and sempai-y. . . adorable. And they know each other a bit better than Kanjani8 and TOKIO - except of course for Mabo - Ohkura and Hina - Taichi (MY FAVORITE COMBO EVER). Overall, though, I don't know. . .
