You know what's awesome about being a kid when I was? Michael Jordan was playing basketball. I feel bad for kids who grow up when he's already in the past as a player.

Not that I'm a big sports fan. My knowledge of sports depends on how much interest my brother had in a particular sport at any given moment, basically.

Am really sleepy cos I didn't nap today. I did start packing! I need to get a lot more done by tomorrow when my parents get here but I made a really good start and sorted loads of things and its mostly boxing up that's left. XP

Yesterday was a lovely "senior week" day - slept in, had a delicious brunch, napped a bit, went out to dinner with friends. Then we all went "free box hopping" - every house has a free box (more in the quad where the kids are wealthy and too lazy to go down a few flights to upload their stuff) where they get rid of items they don't want, usually clothes, and you can paw through it at any time and take stuff. I usually don't because even though people usually find it cool, I don't like to run into people while wearing their clothes. Especially if I don't like them. XD But yesterday we went to half a dozen houses and went through their free boxes and I got a bunch of blouses to help start my work wardrobe! So I'm really happy about that. And then we watched the end of Mary Poppins and all of Now and Then - an excellent "watching with friends right before graduating" movie. And I ate lots of Oreos with peanut butter. :)

I just got an email from my rabbinic literature professor saying that I did really well on the exam and final paper and that she actually really enjoyed reading them because they showed how much I'd learned and that my thoughts on rabbinic literature are interesting, and she said, "I really do see a future in this field for you, if you ever think seriously about it," which is really awesome. :D I really enjoyed studying Rabbinic Lit. And her email made me really really happy. And now there's just one class that I want to do well in. And two that I want to find out if I passed. XD

Mother's Day was yesterday, as many of you probably know. My mom is COMPLETELY AWESOME but I will write about her another time because I have to go return library books now. And I'm too sleepy to do her justice. :)

Was I a kid when you were a kid? Because I remember Michael Jordan, yo. I didn't even like basketball, but Michael Jordan was my hero anyway.

CONGRATULATIONS ON PASSING RABBINIC LITERATURE. :D lolol You should ask her what you can do in that field, other than teacher. :>

I was born in 1986. I think he started playing around then but he was still awesome when I could remember him.

I think it's pretty much just teach. Or possibly become an archaeologist. Or work in a museum. You just kinda study it then write about it. It's really an interesting subject, though, and with some 14 million Jewish people living in the world, it still has some relevance.

Haha true story! But I went a long time without listening to him or wanting to do so and then today suddenly I was all humming him. He's in my blood, probably. It's a Long Island thing.
