acceptance!!
May. 31st, 2006 11:59 amI just got a call from good ol' Andy, at Arcadia University--I've been officially accepted into the Manchester University program. Oh, thank god. lol. I can't believe how long it's taken! But yay!! Now I don't have to completely revise my plans for next year. Wheeee!!
So now I need to get on top of all the other bits of the process--there's a number of post-acceptance forms, and visas, and plane tickets.

Date: 2006-05-31 08:33 pm (UTC)So, you're UK-bound. Hopefully you'll have a great time. :)
So, what's the study-year going to entail?

Date: 2006-06-02 07:35 pm (UTC)but I'm not quite sure what you're asking. it's going to entail. . . studying? going to classes. . . attending university?

Date: 2006-06-01 06:38 pm (UTC)Hope you have a great time over here in the UK and if (heaven forbid) you end up towards London let us know (as unfortunately I can not currently afford train fare to Manchester) and would like a chance to meet and chat!
Also curious as to what your course will consist of.
Re: Yay! Well done!
Date: 2006-06-02 07:38 pm (UTC)i'm not quite sure what my courses will be, actually, cos they just called me and told me that I'd gotten into some of them, but they didn't know about others, and told me that I'd gotten into some of the reserve courses that I put down just in case. so, i dunno.

Date: 2006-06-06 10:10 pm (UTC)and hey, good to hear from you--i've sorta been keeping up with my friends list, but in a half-assed way. I'm part way through Ash: A Secret History, but now I'm reading from a volume with all three parts in it and I can't carry it anywhere, so going is slow.

Date: 2006-06-07 08:10 pm (UTC)Yeah, you say that now. They have crazy accents up there... XD
And A:aSH has four parts. oO; Well, technically it's all one book, but it got split into four for Americans and Germans. So the first thing you must buy when you get to England is a proper copy! :D
Actually, no - the first thing you must buy is REAL pie. And REAL cheese. Then buy REAL A:aSH. >XD

Date: 2006-06-08 02:13 am (UTC)I think the first thing I'm going to be buying is pens and paper. and bedding. and. . . all the other stuff i won't be able to carry with me. Oh dear.
What's real cheese? Dude, also, you're the one who needs to get real pie.
also, yes, I am going to be totally screwed on the accents. and no one will be able to understand me either--heck, Americans don't understand me. I talk too fast.
