School's out!
May. 6th, 2005 01:49 pmSo, I'm watching Hercule Poirot and the Mystery of the Cheap Flat. Miss Lemon is a feisty wench! I'm pretty sure she and Poirot are hitting the sheets together. They had a moment. Which is weird, because usually they're both pretty sexless. XD
Anyway, I am at home for the summer. Yay! It's good to be back. Although I will miss people from school. My band of friends whose names begin with C. However, I have something to look forward to! Corey and I have made these amazing T-shirts to commemorate our time as roommates. On the front they say "Lawrence 305 2004-2005" with a drawing that Corey did of us in between the two lines (with Lawrence 305 above it and the dates below). The drawing is the Edgy Wench (me) and the Clumsy Pirate (her). Then on the back are all different inside jokes and weird things that we've said and done. And on top of that on mine it says Edgy Wench and on top of that on hers, Clumsy Pirate. :D I cannot wait until they arrive. But Corey is going to order them today, probably, and then they have to ship to her, and then she has to ship it to me. ::sigh:: I can't wait!
I also can't wait until it's time to give people the presents I've bought. In the past week, I got presents for 6 people! My entire family! Most of them are for Katie. ;) I'm going to send
cloudtrader's out really soon, and then I've gotten a mother's day present for mom, but after that I have to wait until June 6 for Mike, July 1 for my dad, July 17 for Katie, and August 10 for David. ::sigh:: And the presents are all rocking--especially the ones for Katie. :D There's just so much cool stuff that she'd like in Noho. Ooh, and I forgot one of the things, it's somewhere amongst my other magnets.
Whilst in my shopping frenzy, I only got myself a couple of things--a book on how to be Batman, by Scott Beatty, a magnet for myself, with art by, well. . . Art Frahm--my favorite pin-up artists. Or one of them. Gil Elvgren is pretty hot, too. Christian Kane has a shirt with Gil Elvgren art on it. :D
So, I came home on 5-5-05. Just wanted to point that out.
In other news, Katie and I are planning to create journals for Paul the Apostle and Karl Paul Donfried. :D
I'm not going to get my final grades until Mayy 19th. AUGH! And I'm not going to know how I did on my religion papers until KPD (the aforementioned Karl Paul Donfried) grades them, gives them to his secretary, she mails them to me, and they arrive here. ::sigh:: I really want to know. I did well on my theater final project, though. I got an A for my costumes for Agamemnon, and our group as a whole got an A-. Go me! I don't know if it'll be enough to make my final grade an A or A-. . . the theater department has a policy that you don't get an A for doing good work, you get an A for doing extra work. If you just do the assignment, even if you do it really well, you can't get more than a B+. So I've gotten this A- on the final, and one or two As on assignments, but mostly I've gotten B+s, so that'll probably be my final grade. Although, much of the grade depends on attendance, and I have attended every class, so there is a chance that I'll get an A- or something. Still, I've gotten at least a B+ and that's good.
We'll see. Oy.
I really want to know how I'm going to do on those papers. I hope they get here soon--early next week, maybe.
I'm going to get back to my Poirot now.

Date: 2005-05-06 08:33 pm (UTC)My job is pretty boring, much as I love my co-workers, so if it goes quickly. . . that's not necessarily a bad thing. ;)

Date: 2005-05-07 02:30 am (UTC)Oh man, I'm so relieved to have everything in. Actually, most of my shit was the last week of classes--Monday, a 5-7 page research paper, a 6-8 page research paper; Tuesday, a 20 minute group presentation and my last day of tutoring; Wednesday, costume designs. It was hard core. So then during finals week I just had an easy German final--best finals week ever. I certainly paid for it the couple of weeks leading up to it, though!
Katie comes home on Wednesday. ::sigh::
I have been spending all my time in front of the TV--this is my week of vegetation! :D

Oh, Wednesday's that's not terrible. Are your parents coming to help her move out, or will David do it?
Vegetation...mmmm
