OK, lots of really cool things are happening, but I've been really, really busy, and haven't had a chance to write about it. but I want to because they're too cool to go unrecorded.

First off, I thought I'd have a lot of work to do for Anthropology, which I have today at 3, because I didn't do any of my assignments over the weekend or anything. But I checked Blackboard, which is the big Smith website system, where teachers can post articles and information and stuff for your classes. Professors, sorry. ;) And the teacher hadn't put today's articles on Blackboard!! And she wasn't in class on Tuesday. So I figure we're cool.

This means I just have Art History coming out of my ass. Much like Katie, who is taking art history pass/fail, like an intelligent person. >.>

But I have no religion homework, so that's cool. And I read all my religion homework for yesterday, and I did it all on Sunday and none at lunch, as you shall soon see.

Anyway, that was just kind of a relief. And I put it at the top because it's so not exciting compared to all the other multitudes of cool stuff that I thought I'd forget about it. But it is a cool thing.

Wow, my other entry is totally misdated. I'll have to fix it. Definitely written on Friday. Wow, and so was this one.

OK, so. Chronologically.

Friday night. First, I got caught in the rain at dinner. I was with Corey, however, and she had an umbrella, and let me share. Jess was also at dinner, and also umbrella-less, so we said that she could get under the umbrella, too. As we're slowly inching along, we pass by the porch of Tyler, which is the house with the dining hall. Two of Jess's fellow Morris-ites (Morris is Lawrence's sister house, it's between Lawrence and Tyler) who we'd met and who are really nice, were stuck on the porch, as they'd been caught in the rain and also didn't have an umbrella! So we invited them to join us!! We had five people under that umbrella. . . but before we even started to move, one of the girls gave up and ran for Morris. That left us with four. XD I was the only one facing forwards. We were totally just inching along. One of the girls was wearing flip flops, and they kept falling off! If we wanted to talk to someone or look at something, we had to come to a dead stop. It was hilarious!!! Because it was really pouring rain.

Anyway, when I got up to the room, I discovered I'd forgotten my cell phone!! And my parents had called. I called back, and they were in Lawrence! It was funny because my mom didn't realize that I was coming down to the main entrance as I spoke to her, so she's still talking on the cell phone and I'm right behind her!!

They went to campus pizza for a brief dinner, and then we met Jess, and went to the concert. The rain had let up a lot by then, thank god--cos we walked. Not that anything in NoHo is really far from me. :D OK, well, the Calvin Theater isn't. And the concert was absolutely amazing and fantastic!!! Dar was so cute and sweet and funny. She was absolutely adorable--she couldn't stay to sign autographs because she was pretty sure her babysitter had a date! And of course, the songs were amazing. She played a lot of my favorites: February, When I Was a Boy (a Smith-appropriate song, it was requested), The Christians and the Pagans, the Mercy of the Fallen, Alleluia (she said "when I was writing this song, I remember thinking, 'I hope my audience can handle such a rock song!!'"), After All, Another Mystery. . . it was fantastic!! We all really enjoyed it, even dad, who was just along because of mom, and me, and Katie.

I also met Shira, another Morris first year. Jess knew her, and she was sitting right behind us. She was very nice. And knows everyone! It's quite impressive. Anyway, after the concert, Jess and I went to Herrell's to get ice cream with her and some of her friends. It was a lot of fun, and the ice cream was fantastic! ;)

Saturday, I met up with my parents pretty early--I had trouble sleeping. And, since it was still raining, I took them to the greenhouse, which they really enjoyed, yay! It's really beautiful. And then we went to the Art Museum, which was also a lot of fun. At 11 we left to go to brunch, but then Katie said they were going to arrive in 15 minutes, so we waited.

After brunch we went back to the house and chilled. I was sad, because I thought my parents were going to be gone by the time I got out of work, so I was very upset going into work. But I got into a conversation with my co-worker and one of the nice Tyler Kitchen Staff, Sue. So i felt better. But then I ended up working late because we didn't finish, and it was very stressful. I was upset--so imagine how happy I was when I came back to Lawrence and my parents were still there! :D Since the weather cleared up, they decided they could risk staying a little later. Yay!!! :) (they'd also taken Katie to the greenhouse while I was at work) So we all went to the org fair together, where I joined the Physics Club! This will be important later. I also put myself on the Fencing mailing list, and paid my SSFFS dues. I need to join the SSFFS yahoo groups! I've been bad about email.

Then parents left for real, and Katie and I played around in the bookstore, then watched some Buffy (more later. . .) and drew Chibies for House President Sarah, who had leant us loads and loads of Buffy. Two of the Chibies have been put on my dad's website, so I can post them here:

James K. Polk! Manifest Destiny President! Sarah's a, er, big fan. There was more text on it, but it was Sarah-specific, so I figured I should take it off when I sent it to dad.

Shakespeare--so cute! :)

There was also Spike, from Buffy. Sexiest Chibi yet, I think. . . Actually, the Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid Chibis are pretty hot. . . ;) But Spike has a new face shape, because we had to give him cheekbones. I've scanned all my Chibies, so sometime I'll show you all the fandom-y ones that aren't on dad's website ;) Which has the literature ones from our English final project, and the European History ones, which are from. . . our insanity.

Anyway, lalalala. We went to dinner. Then, we went to Chocolate! Jess's boyfriend showed up during dinner, and so he came, too. It was tasty! I had a chocolate croissant, and we all had hot chocolate. The place was nice, i enjoyed the ambience. :)

I can't even remember what we did back at the room. Probably messed with the loot that our parents brought us!! My mousepad is here! And Matzoh Ball Soup! And oh, so much more. Including lots and lots of candy. And, randomly, gelt! Na na na na gelt! And gelt for Corey and Dina. Dina being Katie's roommate.

Anyway, soon enough it was time for the All Night Buffyathon. WOOOOOOOOO!!! We brought down lots and lots of chocolate, and piled up pillows, and Buffy'ed, and Buffy'ed, and Buffy'ed! Actually, we watched 3 episodes of Angel season 5, and three episodes of Buffy season 5. We started with Smile Time!! Which is, indeed, incredibly creepy. But oh so fucking cute!!! EEEEEEEEEEEEE!! Puppet Angel owns my soul! So cute! So, so cute! I was so excited. A lot of people came in and out and watched with us, which was really cool. I got to share my chocolate and ingratiate myself to people! :D It was rocking. A really, really good time. Eventually it was just Katie, me, and Sarah. Sarah had gone to casino night, but came in with Kat, our head resident, and Anne, who doesn't like Buffy and left. But more importantly, they had Frosties! And I got one, because they'd been given 5 for free! :D Anyway, Sarah was doing her laundry, and she doesn't sleep, so she was with us at the end. According to Corey we were back in the room setting up Katie's bedding at 4:30. Meep! XD

OK, Friday and Saturday. That'll be part one. I'll tell you about frolicking Sunday morning, trip to the bus stop, my gita-reading and nap, forest exploration, watching yet another episode of buffy, big sister presents, checking my email, falling asleep in religion, and my exciting trip, which involved Lord of the Rings, Wendy's drive thru at 10:30 with 7 girls, and something even more exciting. . .. Oh, and I listened to Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and ate Matzoh balls!

But you'll have to wait until later, I'm tired. XD And have class in 40 minutes. Eep!

Munchkin (http://www.sjgames.com/munchkin/game/) is a card game (http://www.livejournal.com/users/guingel/181359.html). It is a lot of fun, and I can tell because I've gotten Corey addicted :) But it takes three people, so we're always trying to sucker others into playing with us. Hopefully Corey will be up for it--she's pretty nervous about the whole "meeting someone you know from the internet" thing. Maybe I should plan to meet you by one of the blue public safety phones ;) Actually, I have yet to see any of said phones. Hmm.
