I'm going to repost them now. in two's lol. makes you more obliged to comment on all of them XD (I'm gonna spread out my postings, don't worry)

this is the one I'm most proud of. It's original, and I did real shading and real inking and all. lol. and I did a scene. the windows are half-assed, and I messed up her arms and hands, but I still like it. Maybe cos I'm madly in love with Francie ;)

this is another one I'm quite proud of, even though it's copied (from self-portrait at end of The Wake) and even though the eyes are too small. And NO, it is not Jesus. Jesus did not have an earring or a moustache. If I remember correctly. It is Michael Zulli. (and it's bigger than this but it was on my big sketchbook so it didn't fit in my scanner.)

k. that's all for now. bye bye.

warm fuzzies! thank you very very much! :D I'm so much better when I copy than original though--I can never think of what to draw or anything. I'm working on it though. thass why I like francine so much. all mine! (I kinda stole the shading style of the room from terry moore, but it's a style I like muchly)

Hey, that's a neat style you have there. Much more realistic than mine is! XD

(Yes, 'tis I, one of the stalking Impromanga psychos! I have added you to my friends list... Resistance is futile... Mwhahaaaaa...)

Seriously, though, how much fun is Impromanga going to be?! :D

well, the second one isn't my style at all. lol. I would love to be able to do that, but in the meantime, I'm going with simple. Terry Moore-ish. (http://www.strangersinparadise.com) I wanna make mine like, more realistic as in less idealized. That's a problem with comics and anime and all. (not strangers in paradise though, which is nice) Like, all the women by one artist look the same, and most of the men--they found a pretty mouth, and a pretty shape for the face, and they just stuck with it. Lately I've been trying (less than successfully) to give my people more character. you know?

I want to get started with Impromanga--I wanna see what people are going to do, cos all this talk of shoujo manga is making me nervous! I can't do shoujo stuff! I thought we were just each going to do our thing, ya know? Ah well. It is going to be fun :D And I can't even begin to imagine how bizarre its going to turn out! whoo hooo! XD

yeah. . . I don't know how to do it, but I always manage to reply to a two-line comment with a whole essay -_-

I think when they were talking about shoujou style, they meant more in terms of plot. At least I hope that's what they meant! XD I get what you mean about a lot of anime and manga being drawn very similarly, though. It's like a Final Fantasy game - you hit on a winning formula and recycle it! XD *ducks the wrath of angry FF purists*

I think Impromanga's going to be spectacularly bizarre, though. :D I'm really looking forward to this. For starters, it's going to be catharsis for my time in high school when every comic I drew for school papers and stuff was 'over-looked'. And least with Impromanga I don't have to worry about any of the jokes flying right over people's heads...

Heh. And I'll stop now before I beat you at the essay writing! ^^;;;

geez, if they meant writing style then I don't even know what that is. . . wait. . . shoujo--school girl gets magical powers? (that's all I know about it.) (well, I did watch an episode of Sailor Moon.)
all I know about FF is from evesdropping and reading journal entries. So my knowledge amounts to: Tifa has big breasts, Weez is Selphie, some guy had a tail, and in one of them they went all sci-fi instead of fantasy and some people hated it and some people loved it. And. . . that's it. XD

I'm actually a little nervous about my part, because I'm so much less of an anime fan than most of the participants, I'm afraid that everyone will hate mine! But I'll have a good time doing it anyway, and I'll have fun reading everyone else's. And I'll try not to worry about the quality >.<
but ugh, I wouldn't even try drawing for my school paper or anything. . . it's run by my english teacher. Who is, if not Satan, then at least Satan-spawn. gyaah. (and the teacher for next year left us, and she was the only sexy teacher at the whole school, and the only good english teacher, and I'm freaking out about a replacement, and that was utterly off-topic.)

I love your Final Fantasy summary! XD That's a classic!

Shoujou manga's basically the genre of manga aimed at girls. It goes from to school girls with magic powers and talking animal side-kicks, to boys who are far to pretty to be boys angsting over the end of the world, and the fact that the other boys who are far to pretty to be boys don't like them. XD

But there are so many people doing it, I personally don't think it's going to be very shoujou. At all! XD I figure, realisticaly, no-one's going to have the same style at all, so each artist's works going to be different, and equally cool. I don't think anyone's going to hate anyone elses's - I've never found a particular artist's work that I've actually hated for the quality of the artwork. Apart from maybe those Jackson Pollock-stylee dudes who dribble goo all over a canvas and sell it for millions. I just don't get that. And, wheee! I'm wittering again! :D

ahhh. . . shoujo is not my thing then. in fact, I like mainstream better than vertigo just because less girls read it. I just like to be original. >.O (i don't know what that face is, but I managed to make it. i mean, irl.)

lol. yeah. . . I hate when you'd get those dumb scribblies on oekakies though. why do you want to post that if you spent 5 seconds on it?? uhm. anyway. Maybe. . . the Jackson Pollock people's work symbolizes the complexity and randomness of the human condition? (I don't know where I get these things. . .)

Heh. Maybe it does. Or maybe it just symbolises the guts of an artist who can actually say; "Look at me draw pretty squiggles! You pay me much US Dollars for my pretty squiggles!" XD I may not like the art, but I like the fact those guys can do that...

Oooh, and I checked out 'Strangers in Paradise' by the way. It looks really cool. :D *has just ordered the first three collected volumes off Amazon for less than £15 and is quite happy about this*

::nodnod:: anything that's new and original is pretty likely to do well. even if you yourself don't connect with it, someone will--or they'll want to look cool and cultured by owning something that no one else can understand. XD

yay! I love Strangers in Paradise, it is fantastic--the art, the writing, everything. very very cool. I need to buy myself Love Me Tender, and soon. I need to go on a big ordering spree, there's at least 3 things I want. and I'll find more. . . I know myself.

nice work! I thought the second picture looked familiar, then I read your caption.
so, quite recognizable. good inking, too.

lol. much thanks :D I need more practice though. especially inking. if it's not in really dramatic lighting I don't get a lot of contrast in. and all that.
