once again, flotsam and jetsam.
Aug. 1st, 2004 03:39 pmSo, last night Katie and I watched "Hush", episode 10 of Season 4 of Buffy. It was nominated for the Emmy for Best Writing in a Drama, and it so deserved it. That's an awesome episode. Unfortunately, we watched it during it's air time of 1 AM, and almost peed our pants. The Gentlemen? Their little flailing sidekicks? Very, very scary!! But there were also a lot of really funny parts, too. It was good. I enjoyed it immensely.
Here is roommate!Corey's website. Very cool. I went crazy and went through her books section and gave her all these random notes about the books in e-mail. XD
In other Smith news, I was looking at the '03-'04 catalogue, and even though it's outdated, I feel a lot better. There are definitely going to be plenty of classes I want to take. There was an awesome Theater/Krough kind of class, but I don't think it's going to be offered this fall. ::checks:: Ahh! It's offered in Spring! But it's limited enrollment. So hopefully I'll be able to get in. But I'm probably going to take drawing 1, the first level german course, and some type of history thing. maybe a philosophy thing, a logic thing. I only have the first two planned out.
Today we went to our aunt's house to celebrate all July birthdays (I got birthday cash!) and we played Munchkin with our cousins. It was a big hit, but a very, very slow-moving game. Made it interesting, although we didn't get to finish. Because we were a strange mix between Friendly Munchkin and Cutthroat Munchkin. . . mostly we were just Petty Munchkin. Usually Katie and I wait until the end to use all our stuff and mess up people's battles with monsters, but they were doing it right at the start. Truly more interesting with more people--this was 6, and before I've played it with three a couple times, and once with four. Anyway, it was a lot of fun.
I started reading Top Ten, by Alan Moore. It's really good.
Work tomorrow.
Have given in to the inevitable and ordered the Kane CD. ::sigh:: Ah well. I knew it was coming. Except they asked for too much information and dad was worried, but he bought it for me anyway! ^_^ I'm a little worried, now. . .
And I want to know where our Duchess of Duke Street tapes are!!

Date: 2004-08-03 08:02 pm (UTC)I finished it all up, really fast. :D I couldn't stop reading it--I came really close to pulling it out at work! I didn't, but I almost did. It like, hypnotized me. I was just thinking, "wow, I'm bored," and then it was just like, "hey, why don't you read Top Ten?" "Ohh, great idea--wait!! Nooo!"
I like Irma Geddon. And her kidneys to die for. I was surprised at how funny it is! I'm all about Alan Moore now. :D I'm glad I didn't like Watchmen (well, not didn't like, but didn't love--too much for me, at least at the age at which I read it) because I didn't immediately read all the Alan Moore I could find, so I get to read them now! :D It's awesome.
