heya! I apologize for having not responded to any friends entries yet. I keep opening my friends page and kind of looking at it. I want to give the entries the time they deserve and I've been a mix of busy, lazy, and not in the mood ;)

But! Yesterday, I got a big envelope in the mail. Of course, this one was more subtle--Katie's had "Congratulations!!" written right on it, so we kind of figured it out. I mean, we knew that acceptances are larger, so that's all right, but we've suddenly been getting a lot of brochures, so we thought that maybe it was one of those.

But it wasn't!! :D And I got accepted to Wellesley!!! Yay!! Now, it's not my top choice, because it seemed a little too intense--I might be able to do the work, but I wouldn't like it ;) But it's still a fantastic school on a beautiful campus. Plus, it was the school that I was the most worried about getting into, so that's a good sign, I figure. :D Wooooo!! Am very jazzed.

Although I didn't get money. They apparently think that I personally have a lot more money than I really do. Like, to contribute. And that's not happening. So Dad's a little concerned with where they got this impression and if the other schools will have it too. So that's a little stressful.

Still, I'm really, really happy about it. :D So is Dad, he just called to tell me how excited he is. Yay! I think he's worried that I'm not enjoying it as much as I should, because of the money thing, which caused some agitation, and because he told me that mom seemed disappointed that I liked Barnard more than Wellesley, and since mom went to Barnard, I found that a little ominous, and I told dad that I found it worrying and he was really sorry and said that mom just really liked Wellesley and the campus. And I mean, my reasons for not liking it are lazy wimp reasons, and for a while it was my top school. ::blinks:: Not that any of my schools are easy in any way. lol. I'm going to be working really hard where ever I go. Which just makes it seem more significant that Wellesley seems to be even more work than the others. And there's a lot that I really like about Smith and Barnard, which are my top choices. Like, at Smith, the house system, the people, the campus, Northampton, the classes I've seen (I also really enjoyed the class I went to at the Wellesley open house) everything I've seen, really. And Barnard made a really good impression on me when I did the tour (and when I went to a program thing there early junior year) although I'd have to do an overnight before making a decision. But I love that it's closer, and in the city, those seem more appealing to me now--being able to go and grab lunch with my dad, or head home for the weekend. That'd just be really nice. As the time comes nearer ;) I also adore the Columbia campus, which I'd be spending a lot more time on if I went to Barnard as opposed to Smith ;)

Anyway, I've got to leave for school now! Bye bye!
