In a complete shift of mood, I've suddenly felt like leaving lots of comments. And some of them even juicy ones. It felt good--like LJ did a year ago. Very cool. Lots of fun--I may keep it up, so be warned. :) And tell me if you have trouble keeping up with comments or whatever.

And I really like this icon. I mean, it's intriguing and strange, but I'm also very proud of my art, copied or not. I think it looks cool.

I did not do my sketchbook today, for reasons that you may guess. As well as laziness and all. Tired, unmotivated. I'll have to do it tomorrow. I'm going to draw a woman being sworn in as president. Which is totally away from my original plan of just drawing sexy women. Presidents are not sexy. Except maybe for. . . uh. . . wait. no one. . . :D Anyway, I still need to check out the schools. Wesleyan definitely doesn't. Barnard has no studio art program, but I love it so much I'd go and take studio art classes at Columbia or something. I don't know. At the moment, I really don't want to do the AP. But people giving me compliments on my art is a total guilt-bringer. Argh!

Academons today--in the morning, second place out of three. They did good. I was proud. And the winning team, we beat at Quizbowl (afternoon league) so that's all right. The woman reading the questions was so awful and insane I don't even want to start. Ah well.

Me and Katie went to Wendy's with Tara and Adam afterwards. It was a great deal of fun, and both Tara and Adam (who is somewhere on LJ now, actually. . . not sure of his name, [livejournal.com profile] d3c3p7i0n knows, I think) got us 4 ketchups. So we ended up with a lot of leftover ketchup, including one that was totally untouched. So we brought it back to the awesome academons advisor, also their bio teacher and just a lady who is loads of fun. She was, uhm. . . confused. . . :D

The morning competition, for the It's Academic! League (XD yes, an exclamation point) means that we get out of school. There are three of those. There are five meets of Quizbowl, and those are after school until about 5-ish. IA has one team of 4 people. Quizbowl has 2 teams of 4 people. We need a lot more people after school, but because it's after school and you don't miss any classes, no one will show up. Whereas people I've never seen before show up to the IA matches. Much to my chagrin. So today, I went over to the boys who had gathered for this, who haven't been to a practice in months, and yelled at them. I apparently put my hands on my hips, jutted my hips, put my head to the side, and said, "Hey, guys! When was the last time you went to a meeting?"

Tara and Katie were extremely amused. Tara said it made her day. XD I'm kind of aggresive when people are shmucks about Academons. lol.

Anyway, in the afternoon, JV was in the lead for the first three rounds, but then lost in the fourth. Cos we're pussies. I felt bad. Although that can't be blamed on my bad captaining, because that's the one round where there is no team consulting or anything at all! woooo! Still. I haven't had a single victory this year, so it was kind of a pain. We did really well, though. I was very proud. We were a good team. ^_^ I felt bad because we couldn't play everyone who came, but I wanted (we wanted. . . I'm afraid I've almost usurped Katie. I'm just more aggresive.) to play all the seniors, cos it was the last match. Or else I'd have sat out.

However, to make up for this, Katie lead the Varsity team to a victory of. . .
91 to 7!!
I'm so proud :) She did really well. And, as the fourth round broke us, it really helped them. Cos in the fourth round, you can lose points, which is why we didn't buzz in. . . and the other team did. But in the varsity match, the other team kept getting things wrong. It was cool. well, uhm, that is to say. . . (oops!)

I'm afraid I missed the beginning of their match, because Tara and I went to look for vending machines. First we went to the cafeteria, where we were quite impressed with their vending machines, but extremely annoyed to find that they'd be turned off. Tara was desperate, and ended up actually accosting a custodian and asking him if he could turn them on. He was able to point us to a different set of vending machines, where I got starbursts and she got Sour Patch Kids (watermelon!) and. . . Milanos! Simply because she was so amazed that they had Milanos in their vending machine (the school that we go to for Quizbowl is a very wealthy one, in an extremely wealthy town) and had to buy some. lol.

hopefully I'm not forgetting anything I want to share. Oh yeah!!
In Dance class, we had a celebration of Carnivale! (I hope I'm spelling that right). So we were just kind of jumping around, and shaking our hips, and thrusting and stepping and waving these jerseys she gave us, to this awesome music. One of them was a song I've heard before, and I wish I knew where, because I love it. It's a song where they tell everyone to jump, and then to wind (I think wind. as in yarn. possibly wine? whine? it means to kind of circle your hips) and then says "It's Carnivale". >.> Anyway. :D It was all really energetic and loads of fun. I'm so not cool--I was grinning like a moron the whole time. I'm a very bad dancer, though.

Academons today made me realize. . . and stuff. . . every time I have a good time with, like. . . the general populace or large crowds or more popular people, I end up crashing big time. Almost the same thing happened to me today as happened after Senior Cigar in November, I just realized. I was totally exhilirated and then I just fell apart the next day. Well, not fell apart. But anyway. I've no idea what that means.

I'm feeling considerably better, thanks to the heroic efforts of [livejournal.com profile] tckma and [livejournal.com profile] cloudtrader. I feel special ^_^ (and so should you!!!)

I still really want to stay home from school tomorrow, though, actually. I don't think that's going to happen. But I want to.

I'm rereading An Old Fashioned Girl. Which I said I needed to do a while ago. And now that I've finished C&P, I'm indulging myself.

and not doing my sketchbook. ack! guiltguiltguilt.

Heroic efforts? What did I do? As far as I'm concerned, I just left a comment. That's hardly heroic. :)

But thank you. *hugs*

::hugs:: no, no, definitely heroic. I think that the natural response to that entry would be running away, so leaving a comment is pretty brave ;) not to mentioned extremely helpful!
