I am being haunted by Angela Lansbury. I just thought you should know. There was a period of two days where she showed up at least 10 times in various incarnations, and since then she's made an appearance every couple of days. O_O And I've never even seen "Murder She Wrote"! Apparently she was the voice of Mrs. Potts in "Beauty and the Beast", though.
Anyway, in other news. . . I've finished watching "Dutchess of Duke Street". The last episode was both excellent and relatively Lottie-free! Many cool things. So now I'm watching it again--with Katie! :D Much fun. Except she's all doing things today, so we didn't even get to finish the first episode. Re-watching it is wild because soooo many absolutely unbelievable things happen in the first, say, 4 episodes. Like, the difference in situation between the first episode and the 5th is really, unbelievable. From a TV show standpoint, that is. It's all absolutely plausible from a historical point of view.
I am taking steps. I have searched for "chestnut orgy" in google. I hadn't done it before because I was afraid of what I'd find. Our European History teacher told us about the chestnut orgies and said she'd tell us what they were, and never did. So I've been wondering ever since, but I thought, you know, put "chestnut orgies" into a search engine and who knows what you'll get! But I actually found a page that explains. And has random pictures of naked men and women. . . I'm actually not sure what this site is about. Something to do with sex. But their information seems accurate. Although I think I'll do further research after reading this, just to make sure. Really! That's why! lol. Anyway, it has something to do with all the papal abuses during the Renaissance, that helped lead to various reformations--including the Protestant one!
By god, these popes did a lot of exciting things. Particularly Pope Alexander VI, Roderigo Borgia, apparently. Hmmm. (it occurs to me that perhaps "by god" is not the phrase I want to use here. . .)
