Hello again. I had the absolute best vacation--I had a great time! :D Except when we got back, and I was looking forward to seeing our house again, and using my computer, and seeing friends. . . the house was trashed. Well, not the house, but the family room where there's the TV and the computer and where I like to spend most of my time. I mean, it could have been worse, but for fuck's sake! He (my brother, who stayed home working) knew we were getting back today. He could of at least, uhm. . . cleaned up the beer cans!! I can't even figure out what he was thinking!!
Plus, the computer (mine and Katie's) was broken. ::sigh:: So I'm updating from downstairs. And, since everything's such a mess, it's going to be hard for us to entertain until it's been cleaned :( A nintendo system and games showed up from nowhere! what the heck? What has he been doing?
Anyway, so I feel all discombobulated and disappointed. I also really wanted to watch Swiss Family Robinson when I got home, cos I saw the book and that reminded me how good a movie it is :D But I couldn't find it--luckily, David has it! So we watched the first half today and we're going to finish it tomorrow. I'm finding the girl pretty annoying. Both of the women are total wusses. But the boys are great! And Frances keeps cracking me up. Every time he says something XD And their house is just the coolest thing ever :)
I also plan to reread all of the Indian in the Cupboard books, because I just found out there's a fifth one! :) And I reread all of the Besty books that take place in high school while I was up there, and luckily I own Besty and the Great World and Betsy's Wedding. So I want to read those too. And I have several other things to read, and 2 more books for school. :) I did a lot of reading on vacation.
But I want to write up vacation in full on my own computer, which is being fixed now. I read many books and did several exciting things, and bought cool stuff. It was just fantastic! The only problem was that it's probably the last time I'll be going to Loch Lyme, at least until I finish college and all. But I plan to go back--with my kids :)
