life is good :)
Oct. 13th, 2002 02:32 pmoops. once again I have been neglecting to update. I suck >.<
Friday night we went to Perin's and David came and we watched Monsters Inc and built a fort and everything :D It was so much fun! [side note: speaking of monsters inc, check out Kiki's Halloween Costume!! :D yay!] And we ate a lot of sugar, so we were all really hyper and we decided to have a sleepover! it was much, much fun. I mean, David couldn't sleep over. lol. we weren't surprised.
so the next morning we made chive cream cheese for breakfast and egg salad with paprika and the special mayonnaise (sp?) for lunch and watched Cribs and stuff. And chilled. I had a great time. Then we went home to clean up, and then went to Dave's house for a little bit to play some more Gabriel Knight. We didn't finish until today, so more on that later.
Then we went home and family was there and stuff. it was also fun :) Life is fun, especially during a 3 day weekend, especially when people are home from college. (mikey just left for the airport, btw. ::sigh::)
Oh yeah, on friday I did pretty good at academons! I got 14 right. that doesn't sound good, especially when you consider david got 30 right (it was good having him back!! :D) but it was on the upper end of the average. There's this freakishly smart 10th grader who usually gets like, 22 right, and he just got 15, so I was feeling pretty good!
I also did well on my physics tests! I really wanted to do well because I was getting in the high 80s pretty consitently, which is good and I was happy with it, but I wanted to get a grade above a 90. So we took two tests, but we took them together. . . it was weird. But anyway, there was one that people did fairly well on, I think, and I got a 98% :D woo hoo! Just 1 question wrong, and it wasn't so bad cos I wrote relative instead of relativistic. I got all of the essayettes right! The other one was kinda more math-related and everyone did really badly--she's having an in-class make-up. eep. And on that one I got an 85! I was so impressed with myself :) I had been really nervous about the tests (i'm not sure exactly why, unless it was because I'd forgotten my notebook in school the night before cos I'm an idiot and had to study from katie's notes--although I studied more at lunch--or if it's because on the other tests I'd thought I knew it and made mistakes and stuff) and i had weird dreams the night before. I was sooo happy when I got my grades.
So today we went to David's to finish playing Gabriel Knight :D We got 139/142 points. David says he hasn't been able to figure out where the last 3 points are from. Anyway, it is an incredible game. The plot is. . . so good. Wow. We're going to make a movie out of it when we're rich. tossblack linked too and use it as the set for Schloss Ritter (except that it was snowing there) and we're going to make a movie XD hehe. When we're rich, of course. But it's such a great game. I loved playing it. And we still have 2 left! (cos there are 3 gabriel knight games) And Gabriel is voiced by. . . Tim Curry!! Both of them are really sexy, so me and Katie were swooning. Especially the scenes where he's getting on his motorcycle, for anyone who's played it. Wow. I love that game.
So today I'm going to do my math and figure out what to draw for my sketchbook and draw it, and then we're going to the diner for supper. Tomorrow we're going pumpkin/apple picking at some point, and then we're going to either get together with everyone and play Monkey Island IV or go see Tuck Everlasting (I love that book, and friend Perin loves Jonathan Jackson, who's playing Jesse) but we might do that next week.
I also need to take care of my math honors society application thing. gyaah! it's due on tuesday and I still have to get 2 recommendations! ::wails::
I've also spent an insane amount of time looking for a fic (hours). I don't want to talk about it. lol. But I found it, and some other good ones, so it's all hunky dory.
I gotta make myself a Gabriel Knight icon! Either one of Gabe hisself or one of Grace.
