livejournal quiz--and a thank you!!
Sep. 24th, 2002 07:48 pmFirst off: Thank you
cloudtrader!!!
I got your package. :D WOW!!! wowza. O_O Me and Katie are setting aside time each weekend to watch these. ::is very excited:: You rock. Geez. :D Thank you!
I should be doing my social studies essay now, but I wanted to do this. :D hmmm. i have the essay open. I'll do some work on it. . .
quiz stolen from

01. your live journal "user name" & what it means:
guingel--it doesn't mean anything, but a friend of my brother's said that he was going to name his kid Guingel whether it was a boy or a girl. I thought it was a funny name, so when I was signing up with hotmail I said, what the hell, I'll use it! Then, for simplicity's sake, and because I like it, and because no one else uses it, I've been using it for most other things. 'Cept oekakies and AIM.
02. on a scale of 1-10 (10 being the highest) how well does your livejournal represent who you are?
I'm not sure. When I say, "Things are so different outside my head," this is one of the things I'm talking about--I know everything about me and what's happened, so if I leave something out I can't tell. (this is aided by my bad memory) I'm also not sure how I appear to others. So I'd give myself a 7 or 8?
03. how much about your life do you post to lj??
A fair amount. Sometimes I wonder if I post too much. . . Hopefully I don't give enough info that someone could track me down. Lately I've gotten rather lazy about this. >.<
04. is there anything you refuse to post about??%0s/gue things that youot ws really don't want to know. lol. I usually make it a private entry, if I need to do that. Also, I try not to say bad things about people who would be surprised to hear them from me (excluding teachers).
05. on a scale of 1-10 how interesting do you think your own journal is to others??
I can't tell--I'm too self-centered to judge this well. I'll give myself a 5? 6 on a good day ;)
06. from who/how did you find out about lj??
ffenics and
weezersoze. I'd been going to both of their sites, and they linked to their livejournals, so I checked them out and I was intrigued and it seemed really nifty, so I got myself one. This was when it was open to everyone. (I didn't save my old layout that time, and I really miss it. I liked that layout!) (now I save all my different color combinations--this current one is a recycled one)
Anyway, it's really nifty now because both of them are my friends :D ::waves::
07. has anyone ever joined lj because of you??
eheheheh. . .
ambushbug (twin sister Katie)
countryapple1x2 (online friend who was introduced to LJ through mine, I believe)
d3c3p7i0n (friend Emily)
houndspy91fc (friend and friend's brother Freddy)
marishi (friend Meghan. Her and Katie were roped into LJ because I said "I need friends--get yourself a livejournal XD)
and probably
cabed (friend Chris. I gave him the code and I think I introduced him to LJ but I'm not sure, he might have known someone else)
And here are the people that I provided codes for (a couple people on here that I don't know):
chocolateeyes,
mss_vampy,
monobono,
fahrchan,
fooger101,
misaso,
cabed,
d3c3p7i0n,
rockjock,
pbartimus,
countryapple1x2,
houndspy91fc
08. what proportion of your posts are friends only??
almost none, but lately I've had a couple because I don't want the people mentioned in them to stumble upon my journal.
09. what is your favorite interest on lj??
sailor scout gang bang. My "band" (idea semi-stolen from
ffenics). Me and Emmy are the only ones with that as our interest. . . hmmm. . .
10. Has anything on lj ever caused you to establish, rethink, or even change your belief or position on something?
Yes. My friends' intelligent comments to my posts. Absolutely. Livejournal (largely because of you cool people) has really, really helped me to grow up and change.
11. how often do you respond / comment on other peoples journals??
often. ("Comments: Posted: 3,213 - Received: 2,069") Except that lately I haven't been commenting hardly at all, because of school and everything. I feel really bad about it, and I miss you guys. . .
12. do you prefer to write in your journal, read other journals??
it depends on my mood. read more, I think.
13. have you ever had something mean said to you or been stalked, harassed, or got you in a flame war?
I've gotten into a couple arguments, but nothing really enormous.
14. have you ever banned someone from your journal?
I don't think so. I've had some problems, but they've left me alone. nothing extended.
15. who are your favorite lj friend(s) and why?
ambushbug, of course! :D But of my LJ-lj friends, I couldn't possibly choose :) I'm not just saying that so no one will feel bad. If you're reading this, I probably love you dearly. (I admit that there are a couple of people on my friends list that I don't know as well, but they probably don't read my annoying little babbles anyway ;)
16. how many of your LJ friends have you actually met??
I haven't seen in person any of my new LJ friends :( sadly. But people that I know in person. . . 5. and not all of them are really LJ-active.
17. of all of the people on lj you know of, who is the most like you??
ambushbug, again. Me and Katie tend to say the same things a lot and everything.
and according to this, also
cloudtrader and
d3c3p7i0n
18. why are you most likely to add someone to your friends list??
lately I've been trying to slow up the pace with meeting new people and all, because I was having trouble keeping up with my friends list and all as is. But I just added a couple new people because I'm part of why they got the journal and all, and some people from forums have been added (again, ::waves::). But aside from that, I often add people if we've met in a community and I've been talking to them and stuff, and they seem really nice, then I check their info and we have a lot in common (usually a semi-requirement) and then I look at their journal itself and see if their entries are ones that I'd be interested in reading and stuff. I also like it if they're good about the cut-tag thing. Like, if I check out someone's journal and it's all long entries of quizzes that aren't tagged and stuff, I'm less likely to add them. And if they're journal is whiny and all.
19. do you automatically add friends to your journal if they add you first??
I try, but lately I've wanted to read through people's entries first--at least some, cos I've been trying to kind of raise my standards. Especially since my list is overflowing-ish as is. >.< ugh.
20. what is the most likely reason you wouldn't add someone to your friends list??
if they're annoying or rude or obnoxious, if they're a nazi (this is why I read through entries first now), if they do drugs. I'll remove people if they have long rambly entries that I'm not interested in, or annoying entries or something. And if they ignore me, I'm more likely to remove them--part of this is because I figure they won't notice so much--I usually feel guilty after removing someone.
21. is your "significant other" on lj??
N/A :) I don't know if I'd want them to be. . . lol.
22. have you ever wanted to meet someone on lj?
Yeah, I want to meet a lot of you! I'll just have to get rich and fly around and visit people (::winks at
tossblack)
right. eep. that took a while. essay now. yes. >.

Date: 2002-09-24 08:08 pm (UTC)for the most part, we both feel that details of the relationship are not the business of the LJ community and that has worked out well, with some exceptions.

Date: 2002-09-25 03:38 am (UTC)I pronounce it with hard g's. Gwynn-gull. (someone's probably going to read this and find out they've been saying it wrong in their head and never going to be able to get rid of the other pronunciation. lol. Or does that just happen to me?)
