I was getting to the point where I was going to ask if you guys were identical or just paternal twins... since it occured to me the other night that I wasn't sure what Katie looked like. If you two had the same hair cut, I could see you two driving teachers, friends and stuff insane

:D my pleasure. a lot of people say we look alike. it'll be even worse when I get my braces off. (soon, hopefully)
People ask if we're identical a lot. >.> I can see them thinking we look alike, but like, we have different colored eyes, to begin with! And I'm shorter than Katie :( (there are a lot of other differences, like hair and freckles, but you could say, I suppose, that those could be effected by outside forces. My hair is a good bit darker, though)

Katie is getting more and more pretty :) Especially with her braces off--she has such a lovely smile!

fraternal twins, you mean? The phrase kind of annoys me. Cos we're not brothers, and fraternal is probably based on the word brother somewhere along the line. I usually just say "we're not identical". lol.

we could get the same hair cut, but not the same hair--mine is darker. . . and frizzier >.< But it would definitely be more confusing--even with my hair being about 3 or 4 times as long as Katie's teachers get us mixed up. I guess they're just not looking. We say "Laura=long. L/L. Laura has long hair." but they don't seem to catch on. lol.

yeah, I don't have a lot of pictures of katie because she's usually the one with the camera. but my dad took this one. I have another black and white one of katie that I took.

I was always under the impression that paternal was the correct term for twins who aren't identical. *Shrugs* You two look almost the same to me... the hair's a bit different, and in that picture, you look taller, but otherwise you look almost the same to me.

If you wanted to drive people insane, go get both of your hair dyed bright purple, and chop it off into a pixie cut Only people who really know you could tell the difference.

Paternal is for like, the maternal and paternal sides of the family, I think.

lol! that'd be awesome! But my parents were so upset (well, kind of upset) by my brother bleaching his hair (although that might be because it looked really bad!) I don't think they'd like it if we did that. And I hate to make them unhappy.

yeah, that's one of the reasons I wanted to post a picture--I talk about Katie a lot and I realized that since she was always behind the camera, I'd never shown you guys a picture!

actually, we have different glasses--mine are darker and smaller. They're both round, though.
We also have different coloration, which you can't see here, and I have freckles and stuff. And it doesn't really show, but our noses are different.

I can see why people ask if you're identical!

my middle sister and I don't look anything alike, but my youngest sister and I have the exact same coloring. (Although our features are a bit different. I look more like my dad's side of the family, and she looks more like my mom's.) so, family resemblances can be weird ^_^

yeah! when we went to camp there were triplets, and two of them looked almost exactly the same, one was a little smaller and slimmer--and the other one looked totally different! She had darker hair, freckles, and glasses. It was wild. (her face looked different too)

our math teacher told us that a girl who came into the class to deliver a note one time looked just like her in high school; and she said that when she was in high school there was another girl who wasn't related to her, and they looked exactly alike, and people would get them confused and everything.

yknow those halls cough drops, the white ones? fisherman's friend are cough drops that I'd say are at least 2 or 3 times that strength.. when I'd get a really sore throat, they are the *only* ones that would help... SUCKrets and hurls would just act like candy for me

yeah, cos all day today I've been either busy or sleeping--I got up at 6:20 to do the race for the cure, and I got home at around midday. Then I used the computer for a little bit and slept til about 6 PM.

I'd say the hair is the biggest difference. But it also looks like your chin is more narrow. That's the other main thing I noticed.

I bet you're looking foward to getting those braces off!!! I had them when I was in middle school, and it was such a pain. Right when I got them off my teeth felt naked for awhile, which was weird. But then it was wonderful, once I got used to it!

yeah, whenever a teacher mentions that they can't tell us apart, I take my hair down. But even if it's in a bun, it should be obvious--I have a very large bun. (and it's all frizzy and dark!)

I can't wait! I won't miss the trips to the orthodonist at all!
