redesign and update

did some serious redesigning--and customizing!! w00t! :D I was surprisingly successful--usually I run into major snags when doing this type of thing :) I only messed up once, and I hadn't gotten very far so I just deleted the style and started over carefully. I fixed up everything, but only in the "recent events" page. Everything else is as it was before (with just the colors changed) cos it's simpler that way.

I still need to switch my icons around though. I just changed the default. I've been doing serious icon-making lately.

I feel kinda like Cacophonix from Asterix with my stereo reciever thing ;) (don't ask)

Last night Emily came over, and you know what we did? Made more icons! lol. It was a lot of fun though :) And she likes the dress we got her, which is good. There should be more to share on that front, but memory fails. She showed us nifty fifty pictures :D

They aired Contact on channel 13 (PBS) last night, and we recorded it! It was great, cos I wanted to see it, and it didn't look like I was going to have a chance :) yay! We watched the last section, cos Katie had turned it on to make sure it was still Contact that we were recording, and we were intrigued by the man attempting to commit suicide. O.o We did not like the woman in yellow. She was. . . disgusting. ::shivers:: Not to mention scary!

Only 2 chapters left to read--and the last one is very insubstantial. I do have to get together pens and everything.

Hopefully we'll be able to get together with people today. I haven't heard from anyone though.

Looks nifty :) Though I have two ideas that I could incorporate (or at least see how they looked): I'd make the background fixed, and I'd consider making the tables slightly transparent. But it looks really cool as is, so only play with these if you really think they would be nifty :)

I didn't want to make the bg fixed cos it's so big and you wouldn't be able to see the whole thing. And I wouldn't know how to make the tables transparent! lol. >.

Well, you'd basically take the instructions for this override (http://www.livejournal.com/talkread.bml?journal=howto&itemid=4647), and instead of doing it as an override, incorperate it into your style. If you need help, grab me while I'm on-line, and I'll do what I can.
